Google Bad Review 1: I have commissioned them to do the planning permission drawings for our project which wasn’t even a demanding one. The service we have received from these negligent clowns was substandard and their work was sloppy. They have shown absolutely zero creativity with our project and zero willingness to do a proper job. 80% of the time I had to wait days or weeks before they answered my emails despite regular chasers. I have received no guidance and no advice from them about options and possibilities for my project and had to rely on my own research and information I got from my chosen builder. About certain topics they were convincing me that they are permitted development while I knew they were not. They insisted and created the plans and months later turned around to say that actually they were wrong and had to change the drawings. They have taken inaccurate and incomplete measures of the property which reflected on the plans, and they never offered to rectify this and retake the measurements to have accurate drawings. After the pain we went through with planning permission drawings they managed to submit the wrong plans to the council which resulted in additional 3 months delay in addition to delays they have caused by other failings. When I complained, they have tried to ignore my complaint despite me chasing them but once when they realised that this is not going away, they have acknowledged that they failed in certain instances and offered to do building regulations drawings for a discounted fee. If Extension Architecture were not charging an extortionate fee to release the planning permission drawings, I would take my business somewhere else but this way I was stuck with them. They have promised me building regulation drawings quote within three days, and I was chasing them for a month to get the quote and once when I got the quote it was more than double from what they quoted me two months earlier. I guess no discount. I just wanted to get this done so I could end things with them, and I had no other choice but accept the quote. I dread the day when my builder will have to start the work based on the drawings the EA produced. These guys are clowns who want your money, but they don’t want to work for it. Even for minimum effort you will have to constantly chase them and triple check everything they send you and even then, they will fail to take your feedback onboard and reflect it on the drawings. I’m considering reporting them to Architects Registration Board and taking a legal action to seek damages.
Damned the day when I accepted the quote from these cowboys. These clowns are incorporation of incompetence and negligence. Beware!!!
