Google Bad Review 1:  They do a good job at installation but if you have any problem afterwards they will charge you over £200 just to look at it and then do absolutely nothing about resolving the issue apart from saying they are too busy. A real shame but endless emails and phone calls will simply be dismissed.

Google Bad Review (2):  I purchased a property in December 2019 containing an annexe that Rooms Outdoor had been engaged to construct in 2015. As such I have never been a direct client.

There are a couple of places on the external cedar cladding of the annexe that have warped, when this started I do not know. I contacted the company and sent photos via email so that I could begin to understand options available for rectifying it. I followed up and they provided a quote for visiting and inspecting the site which after consideration I have decided not to take up.

Before deciding to accept the quote or not I needed to establish for myself whether this could be something covered by a warranty given at the time of construction. I consider this sensible. I was informed that the warranty is non-transferrable and told the terms of business are contained on their website (these are the current terms as opposed to those at the time under which the agreement was entered). Clause 8.5 of the current terms goes on to state that at their discretion they may give details of the relevant manufacturer so that they can be contacted directly. Wishing to explore this avenue I asked whether this could be considered but my two emails went unanswered.

I phoned so that my investigations could be concluded and it was explained that timber cladding wouldn't be covered by any guarantees in their experience. I thanked the gentleman for advising and explained why I was asking in the first place to avoid any misunderstanding.

It took longer than I would have liked to establish the final position and on the telephone call I asked why two brief emails of mine had not been answered in over a month. It was explained to me that this was because I have not been a client. The treatment that clients receive is different.

I asked that photos of the annexe, now mine, be removed from the website. Permission presumably having been granted by the former owner but non transferable in my opinion. Unfortunately I was told that this couldn't happen and if I didn't like it I could take them to court.

On advising I would complete a factual Google Review I was told that not being a customer people would laugh at me.
