Google Bad Review 1: (Translated by Google) “It's cheap or bad”
The cheaper, The worse.
Recommended for stay visa purposes. If you really want to study, it's better to go to a decent school. It is a waste of time and money. Instead of stopping the students who are talking endlessly even though it is a group lesson, “talking” together and leaving the other students alone. He told the teacher, “It's a speaking lesson. If you don't like it, take a one-on-one lesson.” (I argued that “No … the guy who talks alone should take one-on-one …” … nothing changed).
I was surprised that the guy who did not pronounce H was in the top Advanced class. Besides, we should discuss in pairs. How is “au”, Human is “woman”, and Who is “wo”. When I told the teacher, “I don't know what this guy is,” he laughed, saying, “I'm sorry.” I couldn't understand why students who couldn't pronounce H (and no glamor) were at the top. Japanese junior high school students are at a much higher level.
The business class was very fast-talking, but I was surprised that my grammar skills were lower than intermediate (the level at which business causal verbs are known and businesses and plants grow). Teachers misspell, so it is impossible without a spell checker. When I ask a question, I search on Google … I doubt if I have TEFL certification. Some teachers just don't teach a bastard guy just talking to a cute child during a lesson. If you submit a writing assignment, you will lose it and rewrite it, if you do homework, you will be given a copy of the answer page, or if another student happens to return home and is alone in the class, it will be canceled for school reasons. Or … it's really the worst.
It is not where I come to study. The only good thing is that there is a cozy PUB nearby where you can drink a delicious ale for 3 pounds (rather than going to school after the PUB).

Google Bad Review (2): My name is JORGE, recent ex-student with number 16967.
I want to share with you my experience at Islington Center for English, some things that I would have liked someone to warn before going to this school and that are very important for those who decide to learn English.
If you are looking to learn English in a teaching program that tracks your progress, but you cannot go full time (5 days a week), this is not the school that I can recommend to anyone, here is my review.
However, I think the school should work much more on the following points:
1. The initial interview with the Director of studies Paula promised several things that the teacher did not fulfill, at least for me.
2. The teacher did not provide a structured program with what will be taught in the week, or in writing, as Paula assures it should be done, not even when I asked her personally. This makes it very difficult to learn for those who do not attend full time. This is why I would have liked Paula would have told me from the beginning. My initial concerns and questions were about going full time. She told me that following the program part-time I could be able to update my issues about progression, which at the end never happened because there was no structured program.
3. The school asked to buy a book, but from the first class the teacher always thought that he did not like that book and that it contained some incorrect parts. This was strange to me, the book that the school offers turns out to be a bad book for the teacher. It is a bit like buying something that does not work according to the teacher.
4. I never received feedback on my homework, because the teacher never asked me to check it or because he lost it. On top of this, when I went to ask him once about corrections to my homework, he argued that he could not do it because he had to leave or because he had done it a day earlier, that is, one of the days I did not normally go.
5. From my point of view, on several occasions, the teacher did not prepare the class in advance, he did not find the audios in the computer, he left us talking in pairs for more than 20 minutes, sometimes with his supervision and sometimes not.
6. I have to admit that Marco is a teacher who knows the subject and the rules of grammar and has a good pronunciation. Even sometimes he makes the classes enjoyable. However, other times it seems that he will talk more about his anecdotes and let the time only pass.
7. The summary of a movie that the teacher asked for was printed and delivered to him by hand in my next class as my homework. At the end, I had the “bad luck” to have the teacher telling me that he LOST it, so I never had any feedback on that job.
8. In my opinion, the teacher used his mobile phone a lot during class time, interrupted the class several times to answer his messages or calls.
9. I shared these issues with Paula, the director, who was very kind with my concerns. I decided to speak to her a few weeks before I finished my course. The reason was an email I received from Tim, the director of the whole school, where I was offered me an opportunity to continue my studies. So I wanted to expose my concerns with her to know if something could be done and consider continuing in school, from that point I was already more convinced of not doing so. After the talk with Paula the immediate reaction of the teacher was to start reviewing my work for just one week. But then he returned to the same, not to give any feedback of the tasks and homework that were delivered to him. I am still waiting feedback regarding an email that he asked us to write in class (where is this homework ? He lost it again?)
10. The conversation clubs were very good, the teachers who coordinate them encourage talks and correct mistakes they hear.
