Google Bad Review 1: I have a bias towards the positive and usually emphasize nice things in reviews but I have to say I had a very bad stay in the Renaissance. The room feels like a bunker with the small window, the toilet I had to clean with an antiseptic towel because it was so gross, there is nothing beyond a sandwich available after 21.30. All this for 500 GBP the night… 5 star prices, 2 star hotel in my view, 1 star rating value for money. Go to other hotels…

Google Bad Review (2): I called the hotel this morning to ask questions about what was included in the Chambers suites as well as whether there were any restrictions on the pool due to COVID etc. The man with whom I had the displeasure of speaking was so incredibly rude! I was shocked at how rude and unhelpful he was. He directed me to their website rather than answering the questions himself and then yelled at me when I couldn't find what he was trying to direct me towards — turns out the website had changed and he was misinformed. I was prepared to spend a great deal of money at this hotel next week but obviously will be taking my business elsewhere. I have never before been treated this way by reception at a 5 star hotel.
