Google Bad Review (2): I would give this agency 0 stars if I could. I was set on renting a property the first day it was listed. I called the day it was listed and scheduled a viewing for 2 days after it was listed. One of the agents at right home, who scheduled my viewing said that the property was available a week later than when I was planning to move in and suggested that I ask my current landlord to extend my tenancy a week past my contract so I can get the flat.
I did just that and asked my current agency to speak to my current landlord, who kindly accepted my request. After going through the trouble of extending my contract, I viewed the flat and spoke to Chirag, who showed me the property. I told him I wanted it for sure and discussed with him about a potential longer term contract with a lower offer. Regardless of the offer's outcome, I specified I wanted the flat and wanted to go forward with the application. After sending him all my personal details and documents, he tells me I didn't get accepted for the flat. I then asked him what the issue was and why I didn't get accepted, knowning I was the first to view the flat and was happy with it. Chirag just now lets me know that there was another offer in before mine (which he didn't bother to tell me about before). He claimed the other interested party had viewed the property a day before it was even listed…which clearly was a lie. He was stuttering and gave me three different responses when I asked what went wrong, none of which were valid reasons. He also claimed he misunderstood when I said “I want the flat for sure”. There's nothing unclear about this statement.
There are many issues with this agency. 1 being lack of communication and always putting off giving customers a reply. 2 being their way of handling situations. All other agencies will let you know when an offer has been put in before you, letting you know that the property is unavailable, but not them. They had an alleged offer before mine which they didn't care to let me know about before I sent all my documents their way. And 3 being lack of seriousness and honesty from their agents. After I expressed my disappointment with his service, Chirag started putting words in mouth and didn't know what to say to defend himself.
I am very disappointed with their service and their approach at handling my situation. They have put me in a very difficult position now that they have wasted 2 weeks of my time, in which I could have searched for another property, they have got me to extend my current contract, which I have to pay for, and they have taken my personal details.
Stay away from this agency if you don't want to get scammed. They make you believe you'll get the property, waste weeks of your time, and take all your personal information and then tell you “sorry you didn't get accepted”.
