Google Bad Review (2): I hate to write bad reviews, but I'm afraid it was necessary this time.
I have been coming to Renata for a little while now. I was happy with the results and brought new custom with me too. After today, I can conclude that if you would like a nice haircut and blowdry and wouldn't mind waiting for a long time with no apology and to be treated rudely to add insult to injury, this is the place for you.
I attended for today's appointment, which I booked three months ago, and was made to wait 25 minutes for my appointment (appointment time 09:45, then was offered the chair at 10:10). I know she normally opens at 10, but I asked for the earliest appointment available, as this is what she offered me. When it was finally my turn and I remarked that I must have mistaken the time, she flippantly remarked that I was on time and she was running late, with no apology. When I later expressed my dismay at her not apologising, she firstly refused to do so, then proceeded to explain it by blaming the customer before me for being 15 minutes late and then saying she had not remembered how long it would take to do her hair, while admitting she normally factors in an extra ten minutes anyway (which clearly wasn't the case today). You even had the cheek to remark that I didn't seem too excited after enquiring about my holiday plans, while I was quietly fuming over the unprofessional and rude behaviour with which I had been treated.
I can give you the benefit of the doubt that the lady before me was indeed late, and I can even forgive your mismanagement of your client schedule as you convolutedly admitted to. Everybody makes mistakes, and I would not have minded and would have moved on if you simply said sorry. I work in the NHS and have often borne the brunt of the ire of patients or their relatives for things that have nothing to do with my own actions, and have apologised. For you to be so unprofessional and arrogant so as not to deign to apologise in the face of justified and measured criticism is unacceptable.
You are indeed a talented hairstylist, but there is no shortage of them in London and unless your attitude changes, it will cost your customers.
