Google Bad Review (2): Had my hair permed here. What a disappointment! The trainee did my hair (thought it was going to be someone more experienced!) She was incompetent, as though she was perming for the first time. The trainee was told by the manager to pour perming lotion all over my scalp to begin with, which I was dubious about, then was told to massage it in, it burnt my scalp! She then kept wrapping and rewrapping my hair in the rollers back and forth as though she was practising, leaving out out odd strands of loose hair. I had to prompt her to roll in the loose hair. Not sure how but she managed to squirt chemicals on my face and next to my eye which left my skin red and feeling burnt!
I returned home, within an hour or so my hair was dry but I wasn't satisfied with the bottom half of my perm, it didn't look permed at all. I took photos instantly but had to wait for the next day to call the salon as it was already closed.
Spoke to the owner and was told to return to salon after 48hours, I told them that it's not going to make a difference as the curls will not miraculously appear. However, we agreed to allow it to ‘set'. I went back a few days after I washed my hair and Honey, the owner was not pleased. She did offer to redo the back again but i didn't have time to sit there so I asked for some money off, a partial refund to which she began to raise her voice and gave me excuses then slammed the door as I left. All of this is on her CCTV as she stated.
I am very surprised at how grimy the salon is, not quite sure how they have passed their health and hygiene standards. Probably well overdue a hygiene inspection in my opinion, and others would agree I am sure!
I watched the owner wax clients and do eyebrows, she didn't even wash her hands! She used same wax applicator for all the clients, which is absolutely disgusting and can pass on bacteria and infection! She was still eating her lunch when checking my hair and didn't bother washing her hands.
Although Honey, the owner is a friendly lady, her professionalism leaves alot to be desired; she left me very disappointed and unsatisfied!
