Google Bad Review 1: Beware the colour sale… I recently booked in for a haircut and balayage (costing £109) with one of the more junior members of staff. For some reason she had to juggle another client at the same time (probably this branch or hairdresser trying to book in as many clients as possible?) so my appointment overlapped with another woman. She ended up rushing my haircut and not putting enough toner throughout my hair, so I ended up with half my fringe blonde, and horrible brassy stripes throughout my hair. The manager didn't say anything even though it looked really uneven (I have dark black hair). I rang the next day to ask if it could be corrected and my same hairdresser insisted that it had to be her that did it (I wasn't keen but agreed). The day of the appointment, I left work early to get there on time but on the way found out she'd cancelled my appointment. I rang other Headmaster branches out of desperation, but nowhere had free slots that evening. Eventually I went back to Headmasters Victoria a week later and the senior staff who were in that day were extremely understanding and kind, and tried their best to fix it, by darkening it all over. They really tried to make it better, and it did seem slightly darker, but since then it has become light blonde/ brassy orange again. I wish I had booked in with one of the more senior staff originally. I'm really disappointed by the whole experience and now I'm just waiting for the lighter hair to grow out until I can cut it off. I can't believe I paid over £100 for this.

Google Bad Review (2): I asked for a half head of natural-looking highlights and a cut with long layers. The stylist made a total mess – almost peroxide blonde highlights on my mid-brown hair, just one layer that was too short, and a poker-straight blow dry when I’d asked for waves. The effect was a two-tone disaster. I complained and the stylist then started thinning my already fine hair, and blow-drying it again. It was dry. I complained again and the manager came over. She spent ten minutes arguing with me in the middle of the salon, saying it was a) what I wanted, b) looked great, and c) was my fault for not getting a full head of highlights. When I said it was the same style I’d had for 20 years and I knew what I wanted, she said she was the expert, not me. It was extraordinary. Eventually she admitted the stylist had made a mistake with the toner. She re-did the toner and did me another (admittedly excellent) blow dry. Overall, it was better but still not good. The manager then softened and agreed to do the highlights again another time, but after 4 hours in the salon, and a stand up row, I’m never going back. Extremely unpleasant.
