Google Bad Review 1: Warning, stay away! The place looks professional but the hairdresser I had absolutely is not, and have no experience with curls whatsoever, using heat to dry it and brushing it when dry etc.
I had to walk home in shame with my hoodie up, looking ten times worse than when I arrived. And I paid for it.
They deserve zero stars and no costumers.

Update: since I cant reply to the owners response to my review above I will post it below (whilst keeping my initial post above unedited). I think it’s only fair that I get to respond too.

I am well aware of the communication we had prior to the appointment and yes I wanted the olaplex without the blowdry (although I was charged full price). The reason I opt out of blowdry was because it’s not a suitable method for curls (as any curly girl know, but clearly not every hairdresser). However, you insisted to dry my hair anyway, albeit by a climazone instead of letting me airdry my hair as I normally do. Don’t put the blame for the horrible result on me opting out of a blowdry.
You claim I expected a miracle, and that my hair would be styled. What I expected was simply to get the treatment done without permanently destroying my hair.

You may find my review malicious and thats fine – it’s my honest opinion, as well as being fair and on the mark.

Google Bad Review (2): My hair pre-visit:
Just past shoulder length, thin, dark brown natural brunette roots to mid, with mid-ends black dyed (from over 18 months ago).

What I wanted:
Hair cut above shoulders to remove most black with balayage/ombre to lighten up. Specifically noted to hair salon I did NOT want to end up with orange hair (I work in Finance) so I included olaplex treatment for surety.

What I paid for:
Upfront (Treatwell) – £195 for Balayage/ombre + olaplex + cut and finish
Additional £70 charged on the day as apparently £195 wasn’t enough

What I ended up with:

The colour: Not sure why ombre/highlights applied to my hair pre-cut (5″ to be taken off). Balayage and foils applied with a toner. a few days later the toner (which I didn’t request) washed out to reveal horrible orange /botch bleach hair. Not only that, but hair is coarse and badly damaged (after only a matter of days!). Colour and texture I could have achieved with a £10 box bleach kit, it’s that poor.
Also, salon did not offer/mention stage 3 Olaplex at all… I’d paid for 1 and 2 so why didn’t they??

The cut: I was concerned that Ed curled my hair entirely before cutting 5″ off (needless to say couple days later curls were out, hair freshly washed and straight again and so lopsided and uneven it looked like I’d chopped it off myself!)

Bright orange, straw-like hair after only 2 weeks. The cut was so atrocious I’ve had to get it trimmed into shape: section on left framing face ran 2″ lower than rest of the hair with random single strands of linger length; section in right framing face seemed wasn’t cut at all, a good 4″ longer than the rest (????)

For £270 I could not be more disappointed and honestly quite upset and angry. The cost is justified for good hair (always!); This was NOT.

If you go into this salon I would suggest (1) not letting them style your hair pre-cut and (2) ensure no temp toners added to hide the actual results. My hair is so damaged at this stage from the treatments I had at Hair Colour Studio that I need repair treatments and time before I can tackle this orange mess. I cannot say it enough – HUGELY DISAPPOINTED, especially given the raving reviews (which is why I booked here in the first place).
