Google Bad Review 1: My daughter has weekly swimming lessons here and today we attended a public swim session in the teaching pool to practice, however on this occassion we forgot her kickboard so asked one of the instructors and lifeguard if we could borrow one of the many available (providing our explanation). To our disappointment they said no and couldn't give me a good reason as to why not. Found the attitude to be rude and not very helpful at all considering I'm using your service to teach my child to swim.

Google Bad Review (2): MY LETTER TO CROOK LOG MANAGEMENT – (PS – avoid the centre)
Dear Crook Log Centre Management,
Myself and my wife have been swim23 members for the last 9 months and we regularly take our child to your pool for family swims.
Sadly on nearly every occasion, the swimming pool changing areas have been absolutely disgusting. Filthy beyond anything I have ever seen with mud and dirt smeared along the floor from people not removing shoes, staff walking through without removing their shoes or wearing shoe covers and the general condition of the locker rooms are filthy with litter and grime everywhere. There also seems to be a nice little bar-fly collection coming up through the drains. Oh yes and the women's and men's pool toilets are beyond unsuitable for human use, I have seen better on my travels in India and Colombia. They smell if urine, are coated in faeces and usually out of order.
I have never seen any form of manager on the floor managing the centre or getting staff to clean the floors, which should be cleaned every half hour-1 hour. In fact on the 9 months I've seen the floors cleaned twice (and I visit twice a week).
Generally speaking the layout of the changing room is at odds with the amount of swimmers. There are far too many tiny single occupancy changing rooms, which are even too small for one person, let alone if you bring a child and the 5 family changing rooms are taken.
The cafe never has anyone serving, At one point myself and 3 other people waited approximately 10 minutes, all I wanted was a water. We kept trying to get the staff members attention in the back, but she was far to busy making sandwiches that no one was going to buy. In the end I didn't even leave my pound coin, I felt my money would be better spent elsewhere. On another occasion my wife was refused service because the worker was cashing up early, even though my wife had the exact money for her water.
The staff on the front desk are not very happy to see customers, talk amongst themselves constantly, don't engage with us and generally we feel like we are unwanted.
On the last occasion I went swimming the life guard chatted with another off duty life guard in the slow lane of the swimming pool for about half hour, the off duty life guard just blocked the lane whilst they chatted about who they hate – Off Duty Lifeguard – “oooh I hate that bloke, hate him” Lifeguard “yeah can't stand him”
Come on guys – get out the lane, about 10 people are clambering past – the level of ignorance is staggering, they could have gone into the main part of the pool to continue their gossip courtship.
The swimming pool has plasters floating around and hair bands and sand on the bottom of the floor, but on the plus side it does have water.
Due to all of this I will be cancelling my membership at the appropriate time, I feel its a cheek that I have to pay 2 months to cancel a membership to what I would say is an atrociously run centre.
It desperately needs an overhaul in management and an upgrade in facilities.
