Google Bad Review 1: Save your travel money. Incredibly unprofessional staff. I arrived in positive hopes only to be interviewed about my private work life and money issues in front of random strangers eating lunch. They couldn't even have the decency and respect to interview me in a private room. After all that they will ring you every Monday or Friday asking if your available knowing full well you won't be receiving any work. Place is laughable.
Advice. Save your travel money.

Google Bad Review (2): This relates to their temporary work.
1) MINIMUM WAGE! Other agencies will pay anywhere from £8 up to £11+, yet Claibon pay you minimum wage. There is only so much motivation you can have when working on minimum rate! I've seen that even SIA work is often minimum rate up to £7.50… FOR SIA?!?!
2) They won't cover any transport costs, so one day you might be working 5 minutes away, next day you might be 5 miles away where the first two hours of your shift is paid directly towards your travel. Sometimes you'll be sent to handover shifts that last two hours and that entire two hours goes on to your travel.
3) Their clients give Claibon feedback on all temps that they take on, yet NONE of this feedback ever comes back to us as the employees. How am I supposed to improve the service I provide if I am not told how it could be improved? Even if it is anonymous, I would appreciate hearing something…
4) They won't search for a permanent position for you much. There are plenty of reviews on Google of this company trying to lure you in to temporary work and keep you there as long as possible, which is true. They will happily keep you on temporary work forever and it's mostly up to you to look for and apply for permanent positions; they won't submit your CV for you and if they do, they won't ask you about it, they'll just do it, even if you don't want it.
5) If you try to apply for a job that they feel you are not ‘suitable for', they may not reply at all, or if they do, they won't give you any reasoning or suggestions and you might find you have to look at other agencies and positions yourself. Your CV and how well you can do the job are two very different things.
6) They call from a private number which is EXTREMELY annoying. Not only do I not know if it's them or a spam caller, but I can't call them back directly when I miss the calls. I'll often just ignore them anyway.
7) Some staff at their office can have bad attitude issues, including Claire Gibbons herself. Look on Google Reviews for further confirmation of this.
8) No preference to have staff email you with things like temporary job offers. They always call, even when you're currently working, from that annoying private number, which is inconvenient. I should be able to specify my preference.
9) No web based scheduling system; all details are sent in emails, so if you're doing a lot of different temporary work at different places, it's up to you to organise yourself and scan through your emails for the right info.
10) In 99% of cases, the info they send you in the emails is scarce, outdated and overall appalling. Honestly, it's disgusting. For example, one description was “Concierge role – hover hallway”. Other times it'll be “In construction, only 1 resident” when the entire building is occupied. Half the time the phone numbers are wrong too, and they never specify exactly what break you have to take, however, ALWAYS ENSURE TO TAKE SOME if you do this work yourself. Remember it's 20 minutes per 6 hours by LAW. They don't care if you get your break or not, but will kill you if you're late.
