Google Bad Review 1: If anyone is considering buying an engagement ring from Ernest Jones, I most vehemently advise against it.
The diamond fell out of my fiancee's ring when it was 11 months old, it was a Tolkowsky solitaire in white gold. Ernest Jones own “independent” contracted laboratory (Linx in Rotherham if anyone is interested) have confirmed that when Ernest Jones set the diamond I had chosen into the correct sized band they excessively weakened the claws of the setting and thus rendered it unfit for purpose. Fortunately we found the diamond on the floor and have managed to return everything for a full refund. If you spend some time perusing all of their reviews it is clear that diamonds falling out is a recurring problem for Ernest Jones.
Furthermore, the particular store we visited (Watford) are unable to correctly measure ring sizes as the two gauges in the store measure half a size different.

Google Bad Review (2): I had my girlfriend pick up a high end watch as a gift. She turned up in a tracksuit after her work in the ambulance service to be scoffed at and asked by a disgusting member of staff who repeatedly asked where she worked, didn’t believe she was there to buy the watch etc. Honestly I could teach a child to not judge a book by its cover so you would expect basic sales team training wouldn’t you?
Walked past the shop today and bought a watch and ring from H.Samuel instead who I can always rely on. Literally owned by the same company. Shocking mate.
