Google Bad Review 1:  Terrible experience. Just walked in to check out hair ponytails and the sales assistant followed me round the store when I told her I didn’t need any help as I have purchased many many wigs, I love wigs. I found the service extremely rude. Because I politely let the assistant know I didn’t need her help, she walked to another assistant and I saw them in the mirror looking up and down at me in disgust and it made me feel really inadequate even being there. In fact, I’m really upset. Not sure why they both had to judge me when I was polite?? Who do they think they are? When I turned around as I saw them grunting about me in the mirror, they both suddenly smiled and wished me a great day. Horribly fake. Horrible service. Luckily I went somewhere else and have just purchased 3 wigs from a wig shop that was friendly and not 2 stuck up sales assistants. Please remember, customers pay your wages not the other way around. I strongly DO NOT recommend this shop.

Google Bad Review (2):  I found the receptionist very unwelcoming, just told me to take a seat, no smile, no greeting.
Dean who i saw also very aloof and cold.
I felt as if i needed to apologise for being there.
Very cold atmosphere.
I am loosing my hair due to a very bad severe illness.
People that work in these type of places should have more understanding on what its like too lose ones hair.

I don’t feel its training needs because you can’t train someone to be understanding and patient.

It was New Years Eve and I just felt as they were in a hurry to close as it was 1.50pm and they were closing at 2pm to go to the pub for drink.
I went home in tears.
It took so much confidence as that’s the first time i have ever been to a wig shop, and the last, they have completely taken my confidence away.
I never go out due to my hair loss so this was a big ordeal for mine…and this has finished me off…..

Google Bad Review 1:  I wouldn’t normally leave negative reviews online but I feel it’s necessary here. I was a loyal client of this salon for four years. I always saw Sam, who was fantastic and faultless. She coloured my hair beautifully for years, including for my wedding. After lockdown, I booked in in June for a full head of highlights and a cut – Sam wasn’t working at that time so I saw another member of staff. I am naturally mousy blonde, and after a 4 hour appointment (which I’d had to arrange childcare for), my hair was dark brown/ pink. It was like something from a disaster movie! I was rushed back to the sinks and various attempts were made to remove the colour, which all failed and dried my hair out terribly. When it became clear that the pink wasn’t going to wash out, I was told that the colour would ‘fade naturally, over 2-3 weeks’ and that I should just wait. I could have cried. There was no concern from the team there at all, from my hairdresser to the receptionist. I had to argue so hard for a correction appointment which they were very reluctant to offer. When they eventually agreed to book me in for a second appointment they tried to charge me the full price (£300!!) for my cut and colour before I left. I was horrified and asked to speak to the manager, whose customer service was appalling. He was patronising, got my name wrong, showed no concern that I was leaving his salon with dark pink hair instead of blonde, and told me that it was the salon’s policy that I should pay for the colour because I had used up their hair dye!!! I think I was speechless. Eventually, he agreed to let me pay for the colour a few days later after it had been corrected, and actually suggested that he was doing me a special favour. I have rarely received such poor treatment from anyone, which was especially galling when I consider how many thousands of pounds I must have spent here over the past few years, and what a sense of loyalty I had always felt to this salon. My colour was corrected a few days later as far as possible. It still had a pinkish tone after another full head of highlights, but it was more bearable. I was made to pay in full for the treatment this time, which I was very surprised by, but I did pay. Honestly, I just wanted to get out of there.
The reason I am writing this review now is that, 3 months on, my hair colour is brassy – it never really lost the pinkish tone – and my hair itself is so dry and brittle from all the products used on it. It just isn’t the same hair it used to be. I continue to regret ever having visited this salon, and I was interested to read other reviews from people being told that colour mistakes would ‘fade!’. I was told that the salon would call me a couple of weeks following the correction to check how the colour was doing, but no one ever called. I was made to feel completely unimportant as a customer, and left the salon genuinely wanting to hide my head under a hat. Surely this isn’t right. It really feels as if this place needs a huge overhaul in how it approaches customer service and I wanted to share this as a warning to others considering visiting. I don’t want anything more from the salon, I just wanted to share my experience. I am currently planning a visit to a different hair salon to have my hair coloured in October, and won’t be returning to Gina Conway again.

Google Bad Review (2):  Although the sign outside says blow dries are £25, I was booked in and charged £37 for one after repeatedly asking if I would be charged the “walk in” rate (which is what was advertised).

When I asked about the discrepancy, the person at the front desk acted like she didn't know what I was talking about. Tip: your customers generally see large signs posted outside of your store front.

The stylist was far from pleasant and didn't make eye contact one time with me during the entire interaction.

This birthday treat to myself was more of a hassle than a treat. Hopefully the service changes, as I love the Aveda salons I've been to in the states.

Google Bad Review (2):  Great products, very decent prices, but am I the only one that thinks this store has more staff than customers. Each and every single one of them is out of this world weird. The vibe you get from the staff is unsettling, I am not a religious organic eater but is this what being organic and or vegan does to people, it’s honestly kills them to smile, they look at you like you’re not worthy of eating “organic”, someone please remind them to humble their shelve stacking selves, – the tall security guy by the loading doors is just out of this world irritating, all he does is watch you with his piercing eyes and get in your way, along with all the other staff. SOCIAL DISTANCING DOES NOT EXIST, the customers are following the guidelines, but the staff are absolutely not, they’re all over the place and a lot of the time gather to discuss the lack of social distancing! I understand you’re replenishing stock, doing your daily counts, price checks but seriously is there no management!!!? Also the delivery drivers adding their existence and badly stacked cages and trolleys to the already cluttered and small environment. This particular store makes you excuse GMO products! I would post a picture but I’m worried I might get told of by one of the staff members on their high horses. Just remember the home/area you get back to after a long shift, I’m sure it’s humble. Peace. I’m off to KFC!

Google Bad Review 1:  Such a shame that a new place like this decides to close 30-50minutes before it’s actual closing time. We arrived at 17:00, all doors locked and a lady was washing the floor and all the cafe displays were empty meaning that closing began way earlier… I mean good luck surviving in Notting hill with that kind of approach… shame, expectations were high and was looking forward to visiting.
