Son & I hungry, we ate. Called following day after work, as working eve we got delivery. Told ‘you didn't ring us last night, our policy is you should have'. After debate, said I was working giving advice. – offered 1/2 price next order, said I have no proof… asked for name Mr Ali, asked full name Muzahid Ali (confirmed Manager); he then said call me if happens again. I replied kindly ‘doubt I'll have to' , he said something in another language (rudely & sharply) put phone down.. cost £25.50 + call. Sad bedside manner.. won't be back – Omrith out-classes.

Google Bad Review (2):  I have lived in Dulwich for over 45 years, and I have eaten at every restaurant in lordship Lane, even in Surma many times, however, i'm not sure if the proprietors have changed hands or if the waiters were just new? The customer service was rubbish, waited neary 25 minutes after starting food for a drink, and only after asking the waiter twice if we could have a drink, not much choice on the buffet and food wasn't that hot, lots of grease especially in the fish and lamb dishes so much that my daughter and diners on the table next to us were soaking it up with tissue before it could be eaten! Also I asked for the bill and again had to wait over 20 minutes, when I got my bill they had rounded the £9.95 off to £10 without asking me or informing me which I didn't realise until I got home, although I normally would always leave a tip I think the fact that they rounded off the price of the buffet is fraudulent and unprofessional! Would I recommend it no would I go there again definitely not!

Google Bad Review 1:  This so called Indian Restuarant is the worst I have ever been too, and I have eaten at 100's over the years, as well as spending a lot of time in India and eating authentic food there. Service is appalling, the food is tasteless, and when I complained about the mushroom chat, I was told that they serve theirs dry and add margarine!!! Avoid this resturant if you want decent authentic Indian food.

Google Bad Review (2):  I went to this rip off of a restaurant last week with my partner for a buffet. Soon as we sat down the waiter was straight over asking what drinks we wanted before we could get comfortable and settled. My partner ordered a lemonade and they brought her a coke. They did not even bother rectifying the mistake. After finishing our lunch which was most bland and hardly any flavour (apart from the tandoori chicken) we asked for the bill. They charged us £7 for two soft drinks… one which was wrong as I stated before. £7!!!!!! What a complete joke. I could buy 18 cans in a supermarket for that! People there are many other indian restaurants in the area which serve much tastier food and don't rip you off on the drinks. Try them instead.

Google Bad Review (2):  I usually get a couple of curries on a Friday and Saturday night delivered to me but since last Friday 30th Nov and Saturday 01st Dec, the lamb and chicken curries were not the same, they tasted oilier, heavier and less delicious than previously.
I tried them again on Tuesday and it was still the same, to the point where it was un-edible. Bring back the other chef!!!!

Google Bad Review (2):  Placed a order today for collection as I was told delivery would be an hour – hour and ten minutes and that collection would be 30 minutes. I live a 2 minute drive from the restaurant. When I arrived I was told to wait 7 minutes for my food. This was a lie, I ended up waiting an extra half and hour. I was given a bottle of coke to apologize for the lateness of my food. I accepted and left home. When I got home I found a curry was missing. Went back to the restaurant with my sister and mum for the so called manager to accused us of stealing a curry. I clearly wrote down my order at home with the price I would pay when I arrived. This is poor customer service and I feel sorry for anyone who orders from this disgusting place!

The manager Abdul was eating himself whilst his customers were waiting over an hour for starters, let alone the main course!!. Google Bad Review (2):  Not only after being told our food would be ready in 30-35 mins, we had to wait an additional 20+ mins within the restaurant being looked upon unfavourably by the impolite staff.

When we finally got the food home, not only was our order completely messed up with food dishes swapped for what we actually ordered, the dishes we received were so bad and bland tasting it actually ruined my appetite.

We had heard great reviews about this restaurant and how amazing the food was but that must have been a one off as this was terrible.

Food is over priced, with unrecognisable ‘Indian’ dishes – massively disappointed.

If you want good Indian food, I’d suggest elsewhere – even a supermarket curry would be better.

Google Bad Review 1:  There's no denying their food is tasty, but after developing a dairy allergy and requesting a dish without dairy, they said it was not possible as all their sauces are pre-made and they all include the same core ingredients. I do not want to eat at a restaurant that doesn't cook dishes to order, or cannot accommodate simple amendments. I quickly found that all other Indian restaurants that I phoned nearby could omit dairy from any of their dishes as they cook from scratch, and as a consequence we've found a gem of a place nearby.

Google Bad Review (2):  Went to New Malden branch for first time. Masala Dosa was burnt, veg noodles didn't have any soya sauce or vinegar and basically tasted bland, and idly and vada were average.

Now on to the service, waiters had no idea what to do- they were running around but didn't know the concept of service. We had to ask 2-3 times the same thing before getting it.

There were no tissues on table and no cutlery. Finally we were given 1 spoon between 3 of us. And when we asked for soya on side they had no idea what that meant and never came back to our table. Overall really bad experience and food wasn't of good quality too!!
