Google Bad Review 1:  Summary: £17.50 minimum charge which we weren't told about until after we ordered, manager and staff physically assaulted me and my family saying we weren't good enough to eat at their restaurant. Police were called.

I went there with my family after work. I saw the restaurant's website online and thought the prices were reasonable so decided to give it a try.

The waiting staff seemed disinterested when we entered. We sat down and were immediately rushed about ordering drinks and food.
The toilet didn't have any soap and when I informed them one of the waiting staff refilled it himself and left the bathroom without washing his hands.

The same waiter then stood over the table and asked us for our orders so we quickly looked into the menu and started ordering. Once we thought we were done, we were told that we would be charged a minimum of £17.50 per person if we didn't order as much. I told the waiter that we couldn't possibly eat that much food so we were told to leave.

On the way out I apologised to the manager, saying that if we were told that there was a minimum when we sat down we wouldn't have taken up their time. This is where things got really bad. The manager started telling me that this is normal and that their rent and costs are very high. I appreciated his honesty and while responding to him another waiter stood behind the counter decided to tell me that we're not good enough to eat at this place and that we should go to Aldgate and eat at at £3.99 buffet. I was shocked at the way he was speaking to me and asked him not to talk like that since I was only speaking to the manager calmly. He then walked around the counter and stood right up in my face and told me to get out. When I asked him to not be so rude he dug his fist into my stomach and tried to push me out. I was quite aggrieved and felt unsafe so had no option but to ask him to stop in a raised voice.

A few of them, I think 5, ganged up around me and one of them grabbed me by the collar. Just as one was about to hit me, my 65 year old father stepped in to push him away, at which point they all decided to physically assault me and my father. While trying to defend ourselves from the choking, punches and attacks with kitchen utensils my father was pushed up some steps with cuts to his head, face and hands. My mother, sister and I tried to step in the middle of them and my father but were all assaulted, dragged about and hit. Eventually, some of the customers stepped in and stopped those savages.

The police were called and they took our statements. We were standing with cuts, bruises and scratches on our bodies outside this “high-class” establishment having being assaulted by a group of thugs who claimed to be running a restaurant out of our league.
