Google Bad Review 1:  I had a really negative experience with Portland they were very unprofessional and didn't make me feel like a valued customer. They should not be trusted and I'm starting to think that the positive comments have probably been written by family and friends.

They openly bad mouth their competitors and can be very passive aggressive. Please avoid at all costs.

Google Bad Review (2):  I did not have a positive experience with this company and during a stressful period of moving back to London I was made to feel like an inconvenience. I would not use them again.

Darren, the below is incorrect and it is rather concerning that you believe this to be an account of my experience. My experience was this: I had a short period of time to relocate – I explained my situation and was told that you could help me find a place to my specifications in that timeframe. I was heavily pushed to view and make an offer on a property that was owned by one of your directors (this can be confirmed by my PA who arranged the initial viewings) and then I had to phone everyday for a week to find out the outcome. I completely accept that landlords have multiple offers – what I do not accept is that I have to chase the agent for updates, poor communication and inability to manage client expectations.

I was told a week later with only a few days left to move… and no, I was not offered other properties that fitted my brief. I then went to another agency who did not treat me like an inconvenience and found me multiple properties within days. After going with another agent I received an aggressive call from your agent – I tried to explain how the other agency was more proactive and gave better customer service (please see the review I wrote for them to get a better understanding).

I work for FTSE 100 companies helping deliver and define their customer service workflows – so the concept of good and bad customer service is not lost on me. I feel your response comes from a place that is more concerned about your rating than it is about my experience – otherwise you would actually take ownership of that breakdown.

Also you took what I wrote out of context which is disappointing and what is more concerning you took interactions from professional emails and printed them in a public arena without my consent or authorisation – which is extremely bad practice. As governed by GDPR I request that you delete all my personal records and contact details as I found your constant phone calls about reviews boarding on harassment.
