Speaking or seeing or even obtaining something simple such as repeat prescriptions is a nightmare! I’ve filled up online forms twice for the same issue.
I’ve had bloods pressure readings done at pharmacy and sent it over to speed things up and to avoid taking up a nurses appointment unnecessarily, I ended up seeing the nurse who requested the medication again, then a paramedic doctor who requested the medication again, but is still not resolved.I filled the repeat form 12 days ago, -well in advance to avoid all of this. Now I’m 2 days overdue on the medicine.
THIS SYSTEM HAS TO CHANGE BEFORE THE SURGERY GOES INTO SPECIAL MEASURES OR DISSOLVES!
We should be able to click and book appointments. (Including On the touchscreen gadgets they have on the wall, permitting they are working!) People behind the desk don’t offer any appointments whether it is for 3 days/ 3 weeks or 3 months time.
I understand that there is a backlog and doctors only see a selection of patients IF the online form reads as anything concerning. But in the meantime repeat prescriptions should be ok to continue, until THEY book us in for a review.There’s about 4 people behind the counter, only one speaks to patients. When it becomes busy (more than 2/3 people queuing) the others should help too.The practice was better before the new team moved. I don’t even know who my GP actually is because things keep changing. Has E7 health notified their patients, even if by text message? When you call 111 the information they hold is different to what the patient knows. This is still registered as leytonstone…
Also how comes we are not registered with the extended hours service anymore? Were the patients notified? Please just send us text messages so we are directed to the correct people to deal with our issues.
For now, it’s better off to call 111 for everything!
I have no problem with the staff or the doctors or nurses. It’s just this process letting everyone down.
