Google Bad Review 1:  Appalled by the threats and aggressive attitude of the manager's response below. Had to remove and edit this review for fear of retaliation and to explain that yes, we are legitimate, paying customers (have the invoice to prove it) who are disappointed with the quality of our work (defects) and feel treated with condescension from your part.

Not fair of your manager to question negative reviews and ask Google to remove them to benefit from a higher ranking. That's in addition to threatening to call the police on your customers for a negative opinion, which is unheard of (!)

Is this behaviour that damages your own reputation, not the fact that a customer had a bad experience with the quality of your work and customer service.

Moreover, it could also beg the question of how many negative reviews could potentially have been removed due to this type of intimidation, as we are quite distraught at the moment from your threat of retaliation.

It speaks for itself that instead of offering to help find a constructive solution to dissatisfied customers, you threaten and bully them to the point of having their comments deleted, while you so pompously accept all the positive reviews. By your own reasoning perhaps you could also argue that positive reviews could be fake as well?

Google Bad Review (2):  If you would like to receive service with a good level of arrogance, this is the place to visit.

I booked an appointment for repairing two jade necklaces, the pendant of which were detached from the necklace chain.

I didn’t really trust the specialist who examined my necklace (I think her name is Caroline, but not 100% sure). She didn’t seem to have a good amount knowledge of jade. I asked her whether she has worked with jade before. She said, “many years.” To reattach the jade pendant to a necklace chain, I asked whether we can make the hole bigger. After speaking with the workshop specialist, she said this can be done. So I decided to leave one of the pendants with them first to see how well they can do the job.

After a week, I received a call from another staff (I think she told me her name’s Sarah). She informed me that they are not sure whether they can make the hole bigger without damaging the pendant, so they don’t want to do the job anymore. This is fine. I just wanted to ask where the risk lies and whether they know other shops / specialists who are capable of doing the job. However, she was speaking nonstop for 10min to tell me this is not their fault. She didn’t show any sign of apologies and asked me, “why didn’t you go back to the shop where you got them?” I was like, the shop’s in China and because of Covid, It’s not easy to go back. Btw, do I need to explain to you why I come to your shop???

When I finally managed to stop her and asked her where she thinks I can go next, she said, “someone in China town should be able to help. Try that!”

Well, if you have worked with jade before and really an expert about the jewellery market, at least you would know who to go to for a jade job.

After an hour, Sarah called back. She said, “I know you are upset. So I want to ask you whether you are happy to take full responsibility of any damage that might happen to your jewel due to the repairing? If you are happy with that, then we can go ahead.”

What a wonderful question??!! Of course not. I have no intention to receive a broken jade just to let you experiment and sharpen your tools..

So I said no. Then she responded, “oh, so it’s not we don’t want to help you. It’s you who declined our service.”

At this point, I’m outrageous. I told her clearly, “it’s not me who stopped you doing your job. It’s you who are not capable of offering the service that you claim to offer.”

I can’t believe a high-end jewellery shop offering service as such. Things would be fine if you simply just return my jewel with an apologetic and modest attitude. It’s fine to say, “I don’t know and i’m not an expert in this area.” Rathe than just blame everything to your customers and just want to make your customers look stupid.

Do NOT recommend this shop to anyone, unless you want to take FULL responsibility of the damage that happens to your jewel and have a unforgettable customer experience.
