Google Bad Review:  Absolute Nightmare!!

I went to stay in the Holiday inn Express – Royal Docks on 4th March for 1 night. it's location was good and the rooms were okay, however what is an absolute disgrace is that they have taken pre-authorisation from my bank 3 TIMES… which means £777 instead of the £259 it should have been!

This means that I cannot pay MY bills until the funds are released. My Bank offered to release the funds immediately if they could get a simple fax from Holiday inn Express's bank stating they are only taking £259 but they wont do it.

I now have £518 OF MY MONEY that I cannot access because of system errors their end.

I am absolutely disgusted that no one in the company is able to make a simple request to help me get MY MONEY back.

I have messaged the General Manager – Martin Howard, with no reply. I have dealt with the reservations manager who cannot help and I still cannot access MY MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I said I would hold back from leaving negative reviews if my issue was resolved, but since it appears no one cares enough about their customers to fix the issue I would urge you to consider trying elsewhere as you could find yourself in the same situation with money being held in your account and no one willing to arrange for 1 really simple fax to be sent from their bank to resolve this.

Absolutely appalling customer service. I will NEVER us Holiday Inn Express again.

Google Bad Review (2):  I have to say it is a shame that managers still feel running a hotel like this is ok. It isn’t!

We called the day before and a member said if we were a little early then they would do their best to accommodate. We arrived slightly early and got a look of disgust.

Greeted by staff who made us feel like an hinderance. A smile from staff is as likely as winning the lottery.

How did we sleep, we didn’t really as the air con was so incredibly noisy.

Well after a sleepless night at least we could have a lovely breakfast? No, it was shocking many machines were broken which created big waits for simply things like a coffee. The sausages as my day said “These sausages are very very cheap and lack quality”. I had to agree and the scrambled egg tasted liked powder.

Overall a dreadful experience. I must note we got a full refund though.

We will not be back.
