Google Bad Review (2): Update:
Based on my terrible experience with 1 to 1 Flooring, I was struggling to understand how they had so many high ratings/positive reviews on this site.
But now I know; here's how they do it…
Within a few hours of writing my original review (below), I got a call back from 1 to 1 Flooring accepting liability, apologising for all the issues I had experienced, promising to put everything right and offering me a range of additional maintenance products free – on the basis that I took my review down from this site.
I told them I needed to speak to my husband first, and over the next few days I received numerous calls from 1 to 1 Flooring pressurising me to take the negative review down in order to get resolution as promised. This stressed me out so I asked my husband to deal with the matter moving forward.
When he spoke to 1 to 1 Flooring he made it clear that before considering to take down the review, we would need to see that they would first honour what they had communicated.
He also made it clear that reviews aside, 1 to 1 Flooring have a legal obligation to put right the carpet issue (which they supplied and fitted) as we had fully paid for that service/product. Once again my husband was given assurances that someone would get back to him in a few days with a resolution.
Having not heard anything for over 2 weeks, my husband then contacted 1 to 1 Flooring to see what was happening. He received an apology for the non-contact and was told that because of the review still being on the site, the matter regarding the carpets not being fitted properly had to be taken back up to the company owner. He queried why that was the case when the carpets supply and fit had been fully paid for; therefore 1 to 1 Flooring had an automatic obligation to ensure that product was fitted to a ‘fit for purpose' standard.
A few days later my husband received a call from one of the managers to say that the owner of the company is refusing to fix the carpet issue until I take down the negative review from this site.
My husband has just reported the matter to his contacts at Watch Dog, Consumer Rights and Citizens Advice. The matter has also passed it over to my legal team.
Now you know the tactics 1 to 1 Flooring use to maintain high ratings on review sites like this, I will leave it up to you to decide whether those ratings reflect reality – or give you the full transparency needed when choosing a company to give your hard earned money to…

I never been to a company that is so money hungry.from start the pressure was to pay everything up front. I wish that I walked away from that point. There are two decent people who sure great customer service. The lovely receptionist and a guy called M***. Other than that the main boss was totally rude and arrogant. Didn't care the fact that I was in tears and was not keen to help after taking my money. Glad I walked away from them only purchasing materials and went else where to do my flooring. As it was done perfect and I know for fact 121 flooring would not even match it standards and would have more headache with them. Oh and what kind of company has no terms and conditions??? Cow boys if you ask me.
