Google Bad Review: We went to try this new You Me Sushi in Ealing Broadway last week. We picked up ready made sushi and other bits from the fridge and ordered a Poke/bowl type of meal. After paying we were just waiting around and seeing that bags were being prepared behind the main desk. After 10 minutes wait, during which none approached or talked to us I realised that our food was nowhere near ready to pick up. So I asked the guy who served me if it was going to take a lot longer, as if it was I would pick something ready since I had to go… He said that it would take 5 minutes longer or so. And so I realised that meanwhile they were getting ready food for takeaway since bags were being closed and left in another fridge.So I patiently waited given that we were now probably getting towards completion. When I was finally handed over the food, I politely suggested to the same guy, that it would be advisable to tell customers that there is a waiting time and what that waiting time is, so that customers can decide if they want to wait or if they want to pick up something ready. To my shock and disbelief, he said that he can not predict how long it will take to prepare food(a bowl of poke in this case, LOL). So, I said that surely they can say if it takes 1, 5 or 15 minutes, but no ,he said that they can not predict how long it takes. So, people of Ealing be aware that if you go to You me Sushi you will not be told how long the wait is and you might encounter a bit of ‘attitude'! When I politely said that I would not be going back, given that they are unable to tell how long food/orders take, the guy said ‘have a nice evening'. Obviously this is quite funny at the moment, however It is a pity to see unexperienced people managing shops; all it would take is some training, particularly on customer service and manners. Even though someone responding with such a reply isn't just showing lack of customer service skills, but also lack of care about people and about the business they represent.
