Google Bad Review 1: After being keen to support an independent business, I sincerely regret approaching this company. There is a serious lack of communication, and I am currently still awaiting a refund of £350 that they offered, AND my hard drives.

One month ago, I went in with three hard drives for data recovery, with one in particular that needed recovering. I met Adam in person. After being quoted £680 for the most important (£490 and £790 for the other two), I said that unfortunately this was out of my budget. The team seemingly didn't want to lose business so reduced the price to almost HALF, from £680 to £350. I was shocked that such a significant discount could suddenly be made, but needing the data, I paid £350.

Having been quoted a 7 day delivery, I then received this email from someone called Len:

“We are short off staff from today ,because of lock down and your data need more 2 weeks to do. If you happy to wait please let us know , if not we will refund your money and you can come and collect your HDs.”

I could not wait for 2 weeks, so agreed to a refund and collection. Again, it seemed strange to me that a refund was offered so readily, after haggling for the business.

Ironically, that was well over 2 weeks ago. Since then, they are yet to respond to a phone call, give me a time or date to collect the hard drives OR process the refund. I have emailed or called every day, and am growingly distraught, not only for the seeming financial loss but the loss of my hard drives too.

Google Bad Review (2): I don't normally leave bad reviews, but unfortunately this repair shop tried to rip me off.
My laptop stopped charging all of a sudden, so I brought it to this repair shop. They ran diagnostics and told me that the hard drive needed replacing which would have set me back by £150. They normally call people up if the repair costs more than £100. When they called me, I told them I couldn't afford it. I still had to pay £35 for the diagnostics that they had run.
I ended up taking my laptop to another IT specialist and it turned out that some minor part (something to do with charging port) needed replacing which cost me no more than £5 (excluding service).
Needless to say, I am certainly not coming back to this repair shop, nor would I ever recomend it to anyone else.
