The thermal image shows, during the rain simulation test, the pathology of water tracking across to the clients apartment. Other parties have been adamant that the leak was coming in above the damage or further to the left, having billed for their assessments and undertaken eliminatory repairs to numerous areas several metres from the defec…tive upstand termination with the wall. Here, I show the water from the simulation test tracking from the upstand, behind the termination bar, under the flat roof waterproofing membrane, down the internal face of the structural wall, and across the wooden substrate/ soffit, running in the aluminium stud supports for the suspended ceiling.
