Google Bad Review: I have just returned from an MRI appointment in this place. The location is great as is the size of the rooms and waiting area was clean. The nurse on reception was friendly and polite.
The MRI experience was very poor, if you are anxious or are claustrophobic I would avoid this site. The scanner is only 60cm. The staff are not able to manage anxious patients. There was no mirror to see out of the MRI (having had previous MRI this is essential). Although not an overly anxious person, I was unable to carry on with this appointment. Unlikely to have helped but still, no music or anything is offered to distract you.
I was offered MRI which was externally much larger but the internal diameter was still the same.
Although the NHS is outsourcing to a private company, this is nowhere near the experience of a private experience or even NHS experience, where the scanners are usually much more accommodating with some degree of breathing space.
The staff do speak of you in third person even of you are in close proximity referring to myself as “She” rather then the patient or my name, which I find very rude and unprofessional.
