Google Bad Review 1: We booked this particular Travelodge because the website specified that it included complimentary parking, whereas the other nearby hotel required use of a multi-storey. However when we arrived the ‘complimentary parking' was around 20 spaces at most with half reserved for Halfords customers. We had nowhere to park for the majority of the weekend.
The room was facing the main road which was very noisy, and the only relief provided from the heat was a small electric fan, so sleep was near impossible.
We ordered chilli nachos from the bar/cafe on the Friday evening of our stay, it took an hour for them to arrive and half of the order (the chilli) was missing. There was one member of staff simultaneously working on reception, behind the bar, and waitressing. Horrendously understaffed on a very busy Friday evening – I hope she is paid accordingly for how hard she works!
The one star is purely because of how hard that member of staff, Jana, worked and because the room was clean.
