Google Bad Review 1: I had an interview scheduled for a house keeping position & I turned up 10 minutes before like i was told to. There is a note on the door saying “this door is kept shut at all times to keep staff & guests safe”. I pressed the twice buzzer as that was the only way I could get in. No-one answered. A guest walked out so I was able to get in. I went to the first floor where the reception is & told the person behind the desk that i was there for an interview. I was told the manager had gone off some where & to take a seat. I was offered a drink. A member of staff turned up & said he would be right with me. He came up to me & said that he's sorry the manager has had to go in a meeting & to write down my name & number & I also wrote down my email address. I was told that the manager would call me that day about 1pm. I never received a call that day. I was really annoyed & angry to say the least. I took the time & trouble to go as i wanted the job. I feel like it was a waste of my time & very unprofessional. I think it's very bad. If it was the other way around the manager would of thought it was unprofessional of me & I probably wouldn't get the job as they would think I was unreliable. If that's how they treat people they haven't even employed how on earth do they treat the staff they have. I am very disappointed.

Google Bad Review (2): I am travelling with my 2 kids for their exams, 16 and 15 years old. Accordingly I was trying to book 2 rooms for their convince to study. Searched in google which hotels accept 16 years old and above to check in and immediately their was travellodge and their terms and conditions was published on line on PDF file. Forget to mention that I am travelling from Abroad.
When I arrived the reception refused to let us check in to the 2 rooms as their policy is 18 years and above. I showed them their terms and conditions on line and I have a copy to share here in the future if the travellodge respond back. The reception offered to refund me the money for the 2 rooms but after 13 hours flights are they expect me to look for accommodation immediately.
After few days I found apartment to rent for the rest of my stay which is till may 28. I am still their now in the hotel. I contacted the customer service on their live chat as they have no way to contact them over the phone. after the chat he emailed me mentioning that after consulting with his senior advisor they will not refund me the rest of my stay if I check out. I asked him to speak to a manager or a senior and he did not respond.
I also want to mention that when I booked the room I paid by my international credit card and I found that the money was taken from my account as on hold when I arrived here from the reception and that I have to pay on arrival. They make me pay for the room when I arrived although my other money on hold (Accordingly for one room 4800 pound was deducted from my account). The customer service agent I am not sure of he is helpless or powerless but was anything but not helpful at all. The customer service also informed me that I chose to pay on arrival which is far from the true.
Now I am going to check out and loosing my money as travel lodge refuse to take responsibility of what still published on their website. Again I am very happy to publish her a link or a snapshot from their PDF copy published on.
Finally the branch manager and staff are friendly and they are also powerless about what happened.
