Google Bad Review 1: BEWARE! SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES.

I joined this gym last month, knowing that I was going to be leaving the UK for an extended period of time after one month. I called and explained that to Lizzie (the sales person) and she told me that was no problem, she would just sign me up and immediately freeze my membership for the following month. I confirmed with Lizzie no less than 3 times on that call that my membership was frozen for the following month. I even asked if I should just cancel right away (as they require 30 days notice) and she convinced me not to do that!

I ended up needing to leave the UK for long enough that I decided to cancel my membership and rejoin when I return, so I messaged in a few weeks later to cancel.

I'm now being told by Jollie, one of the managers, that my membership was not frozen, and that because they require 30 days notice for cancellation, I owe them another 185 pound instead of 20.

When I explained all of this to Jollie, she shrugged it off saying:

“I cannot confirm what was discussed with Lizzie however she cannot process a freeze herself so would be unsure as to why that would have been said.

As you have an outstanding balance a member of the team will be in contact regarding this and long term will be passed onto external collections as we cannot remove the final month payment.”

I would have expected this from some shady, low budget gym… Not from Third Space.

Disappointing that they're outright lying to customers like this.

Google Bad Review (2): Unprofessional and condescending attitude for a luxury gym.

I’m a group-member with access to all clubs. Whilst experience in Tower Bridge and Angel has been amazing, Third Space City is the worst experience I’ve had in any gym ever.
I booked in a Pulse class on Saturday 15 min the booking was opened. I arrived on Monday 4 min past the class time after travelling across the town for 45 min. That is my own issue and fine.

What isnt fine is the behavior the trainer had towards me and kept aggressively pointing to the door to get me out the door asap as she had given my spots to ladies who spontaneously decided to join the class. I received absolutely no notification about it.

I tried just to get an explanation as I was shocked whilst the only thing the trainer asked me was to leave asap as I was an illegal intruder.

What the manager of the club sent me the following day consisted of SOLELY protecting their own interests and blaming me for all. Whilst not in the situation, the manager protected the views of everyone by saying there was no rudeness nor disrespect while not even being a witness in the situation.

To receive so lengthy email full of BLAME for a member is a new level of arrogance and way too emotional after being disrespected in a class.

Never again. Please learn to respect your club members who pay £210 each month.
