Google Bad Review 1: I stayed here with my husband for my birthday on the 23rd March. We paid just under 200 GBP for our suit…. which was terrible. It was one of the worst rooms ever. It had no character to it. The key stopped working at 11.45pm. At reception there was on one there. I called a few times. No answer. Over 30 mins until staff arrived. On departure at 11.40am there was again no staff. Would not recommend.

Google Bad Review (2): Stayed here for 5 days (23rd-28th June) for work, Hotel was pleasant enough at first.
On the first night i ordered a burger with chips and received a curly hair with honestly looked like pubic hair in my chips.
I told the waiter and he just swapped out the chips and all he said was sorry. This put me off the food here and i had to resort to eating out at other venues
I spoke to the day manager regarding this and he just said oh…. that's it. No sorry nothing!
Went to my room (no 28) which was very nice but got woken up at 3 am in the morning by some scratching sound.
Switched the light on to find that there was a cockroach under the bedside cabinet. I caught it and took it up to the night manager and he said he will swap me rooms.
As it was 3 am i said wait until tomorrow as i am up for work early. Went back to sleep to find another cockroach coming out from under the door base of the patio doors. Caught that and moved rooms that night.
I found the new room not much better (Westminster). There was no air con like the last room just a fan and a big footprint on the bed as if someone had stood on the bed to access the loft hatch above the bed.
Not only that the toilet lid would not stay up but the shower/bath was blocked so every time i took a shower so i was stood in cold water.
My key card kept not working (was kept in separate pocket from phone etc) and had to get it re-scanned almost everyday. despite being told that i have to keep it away from my mobile (was kept in my wallet)
I waited almost 30 mins one day to get served breakfast and they “ran out” of orange juice for 2 days!
Overall i would not stay here again. 4 star accommodation, ran like a 2 star motel.
Its OK for a 1 night stay but that's about it.
The only apology i got was from the waiter for the rogue hair.
No form of an apology from anyone else or any form of compensation.
Luckily my work paid for the hotel stay and if it was my own money i would have asked for a refund straight away and stay at the Village Hotel round the corner which i usually stay at (fully booked at the time)
Now i have to double check my ‘CC statement as upon leaving it took the manager almost 30 mins to check me out as his computers as slow told me here is a 500 pound receipt but don't worry it has not been charged to your card….
The fact that it was ran like faulty towers made it laughable.
Its a shame i cannot upload videos to this site as i took videos but have a couple of images of the bedsheets and cockroach
