Google Bad Review 1: I used this service not for particular problems but as a way to generally improve the kitties I had.
After providing some medical history and an application document Dr Charlie came over, observed the kitties, discussed and provided a report. The total charge was £450 as this also includes a travel fee according to milage.
Negatives:
The appointment was very short. I was expecting there to be some sort of a survey done of scratching posts litter boxes toys etc but this was not done.
Through out the consultation, I was apparent that the information we provided wasn't read or briefly scanned. Suggestions that were provided, comments etc where addressed in the notes we were asked to provide. An example was being told we need to carry out a particular type of training, which we where already doing.
There was a general perceived lack of interest in the consultation, which if I have to guess, was because of this not being a problem issue like spraying etc.
Positives: Dr Charlie was professional, and was sensitive to covid in his requests.
He was courteous to ask if his treats he was offering the kitties where ok and I appreciated that.
He gave time to have a Q&A, and provided 3 months further q&a follow up in case anything else came up.
Overall, for the cost I didn't feel l got the value I had hoped for. I would suggest that in the first instance, Google some Amazon books on the subject, and Jackson Galaxy ‘my cat from hell' series and his YouTube channel are outstanding resources for issues and improvement to see what could work first before looking for a consult. This is further more of a point as Dr Charlie, being one of the very few cat behaviourist available in London, has a lengthy waiting period.
Response to comment- none of the kitties have been assessed as they are below the age to be so, and not sure why I have this statement in your comment? The mom cat was never a consideration for this and this was mentioned multiple occasions. Unfortunately me having to make this response shows my point.
