Google Bad Review (2):  Absolutely gut wrenching, awful, dishonest service from this company. Very deceitful and dreadful communication. They had my fiance in tears.

I'll go into more detail but first, to the Riki dalal employees monitoring this page, DO NOT respond to this review with the “are you sure you have the right company, we don't have a record of you visiting” like you have with other reviews – it was my fiance who bought the dress not myself, initials BA with a wedding at the end of April 2022. I definitely have the right company.

My fiance bought the dress no problems May 2021. Everything seemed fine. She had a fitting appointment early April to collect a week after said appointment.

She hadn't heard anything from the company until 1 HOUR before the fitting appointment, when she was informed the appointment had been cancelled and she might be able to schedule something in a few weeks – this was by email. Whoever sent the email lied through their teeth saying they had contacted my fiance about this – however she had no missed calls or emails. Our wedding is in a few weeks… And we live over 4 hours from London and they know this.

If you are having supply issues (which you clearly are despite your best deceitful attempts to hide it) you have to let the customer know AT THE EARLIEST OPPORTUNITY especially regarding something like a wedding dress which is incredibly important for most people (and has a specific time limit). This is so that they can organise something else, obviously. Riki dalal must know this – they are an experienced bridal shop, and cannot feign ignorance about this surely!

Riki dalal's phone goes straight to voicemail so I am unable to actually have a discussion about this. They are not responding to any other form of communication. Looking at other reviews, it looks like others are ina similar situation. How cowardly! Stop lying to your customers and actually communicate with them! You cannot hang on until the last minute hoping things fall into place trying to retain people's business.

They have not delivered the dress my fiance ordered so we will be requesting a full refund. Stay away from this company – they clearly have no problem avoiding customers when they are having issues, or employing devious tactics like cancelling an appointment they had no intention of actually going through with 1 hour before. It shows their distinct lack of morals and probity. Avoid!
