Google Bad Review 1:  Room 407 was a decent room the only major failing, in then middle of a hot summer, is the fact the shower was set 40C plus and only sending out hot scalding water. Ask the front desk to see if it could be fixed and the handyman replaced the temp know but did not actually fix the problem. Since I was unable to take a descent shower, it ruined the whole experience. Poor overall service, I would definitely recommend away from this accommodation and loom for something better.

Google Bad Review (2):  Not like pics. Grimy and the room STUNK- literally. Lights flickered, tv remote broken. The lone star is because it is in a convenient location. Learn from me, unless you only plan to spend a few minutes per day in the place max, spend a bit more money and stay in a better place.

Google Bad Review 1:  If you want to fail your undergraduate or post-graduate degree then this is the perfect place for you!

Goldsmiths house is located at the epicentre of the HS2 (High Speed Rail) construction zone, and will be due to completion in 2026.

Want to get a panic attack at 07:00am?

This is certainly guaranteed with industrial size jackhammer 5 metres from your lovely tiny, claustrophobic paper thin wall 2×3 sqm room.

Early morning I woke up with my room shaking, extremely loud noise, had a panic, looked out the window: HS2.

£202 per week on a 50 weeks contract? You can find a better nicer place/studio flat for less.

I failed my 2 of mymodules because of how loud it is, some of the residents have no respect, but the management is worst, they never do anything no matter if your life is at risk or not.

Safety? Forget about it, since the HS2 has taken over the area, they constantely close roads and paths making it instead of the 10 minutes walk from the station that they advertise, a 20 minutes of fearful walk.

Kitchen is filthy, bathrooms is so disgusting I have started to take showers at uni and at work PS: I have found a sanitary pad full of blood stuck on the shower wall on a couple of occasions.

Staff is disrespectful.

In summer you will boil, because they don’t take away the window limiters.

This place made my life hell.

Google Bad Review (2):  I have lived at this accommodation for one year of undergraduate and couldn’t continue after that. This place is not meant for students as it is now under HS2 construction until 2023 which has lead to the intolerable noise which made it really hard for me to study. Moreover because of the construction it is very unsafe to walk and many residents has been robbed.
The management is extremely rude and totally unhelpful. You will face height of rudeness and unprofessionalism at this accommodation plus you will suffer from mental harassment. This is a 4 storey building and lift was out of order for more than 6 months. The Management has clearly said that they don’t have any responsibility towards us. Please don’t stay here to make your life hell. It is not worth of your precious money at all. They can also throw you at any time of the year as the contract is designed in such a way. BEAWARE!!

Google Bad Review (2):  There is nobody on reception when you need anything. There is no security. There has been an ongoing toilet problem with leaks in the rooms and carpets are wet but they don’t do anything about it. They make rules up as they go along and say it is in the contract when it isn’t (eg it doesn’t say anywhere you are not allowed friends over but apparently when your friends travel to London to stay with you they get turned away at the gate due to new made up rules). There was also no hot water for 4 days a few weeks ago and we got little more than an email to say sorry.

Google Bad Review 1:  I booked this place via Expedia for a business trip to London. On the day of departure at the airport in Stockholm I advised the arrival time to the Swish Apt manager, Elise, who realised a I was getting on the plane that she had double booked the room via other booking sites. This was a massive inconvenience and unsatisfactory customer service. Elise promised she would provide a room free of charge on my next visit to London to make up for the inconvenience. I have since returned and emailed her well in advance to take Swish Apt up on their offer, but they have not responded to this even though I have followed up several times. So if you do book Swish Apartments please be aware they are disorganised and your booking may be cancelled last minute.

Google Bad Review (2):  Excellent location, but a horrible place to stay in the summer heat. No AC, a tiny (broken) fan, essentially hotboxing in a greenhouse.

While flat was tidy and shower pleasant, they skimped on the toiletries. Bare kitchen (e.g. presumably functioning oven, but nothing to put in it; dearth of crockery/utensils/etc…). There tiny winding staircase leading up to flat, so lugging up luggage was an absolute nightmare.

While kind enough to defer stay when we’d previously had to cancel our trip, and we were allowed to check in an hour early, subsequent communication was poor (seldom responded to emails/queries, etc…)… not really helpful.

Never again… not worth the money

Google Bad Review (2):  An absolute nightmare.
My girlfriend and I were looking for a property to rent so we stumbled upon the advert for a double room in a house share by City Stay Aparts.
Price looked reasonable and looked like a nice place, ideal. The next step was to set up a viewing.
Once a viewing was set up we were told that it would take place of a Friday evening at half 6.
We got the property at 6.25 that evening and was rang by an employee of city stay aparts saying that they were on their way.
Waiting and waiting the employee to show the room failed to show up until an hour and a half later then the initial agreed time.
Once the employee did turn up they didn’t know where the property was and I had to go back and collect them from the station to bring them to the property.
Once inside the property it was quite nice.
I proceeded to ask basic questions with regard to the property, such as
“How many people live here”?
“Who lives in the house”?
All the answers to my questions were false, a simple, I don’t know would have sufficed.
Despite all this, I was impressed with the property so we decided to proceed with taking the place and agreed a move in date of the 15th of August (By contract)
Coming close to this date I rang the agent to collect the keys to plan moving my stuff.
It was only two days before the initial move in date; I was told the property would not be available as they didn’t know when the current tenant was moving out!!
Fortunately for us we did not have to move out of our current accommodation until the end of the month, so we agreed that the next move in date would be the 24th.
Coming close to this date again, I was told there was a problem and the move in date would not be until the first week in September.
They could not tell us why or provide alternative accommodation and held no responsibility of their mistake whatsoever.
While frantically looking for a new place we were led to believe the room may still become available, which it did not – fortunately we had friends to stay with!
– In short – this led to great frustration, grief and anguish.
I would strongly advise anyone not to use this service!

Google Bad Review 1:  I reserved this apartment months ago for a night I had booked with my partner in London.

A few days ago I got an email saying cozy apartment had cancelled my restervation and I will get a refund within 30 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats bad enough my trip to london is in 4/5 weeks time (23 April) so its left me really struggling to find another hotel that fits in within mu budget! everywhere else is more than double what I paid for the cozy apartment.

THIS HOTEL LEFT ME IN MAJOR PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!

Now I have spent the last 2 days searching for a hotel for with vacancies for a good price when this cosy hotel pops up as available!!!!!!!! But is £1037 for 1 night.. this is almost 10 times what I had paid previously.

PURE GREED!

I hope this hotel goes out of business!.. Disgusting behaviour

Google Bad Review (2):  The place is good to stay in general, but they let me a flat and then were doing interior in another flat below me. It used to start at morning 7 AM. I couldn’t sleep during entire stay of 2 months. Highly unprofessional management. The substitute flat offered by them was way smaller in size, so I had to stay in earlier one only and suffer. They say they had no control over construction of gym but they had control over whether to let this particular flat for rent or not. They chose to let it and let customer suffer and not sleep.
I asked them to provide another flat of similar size but they couldn’t.
The internet connection is also very poor and keep disconnecting.
