Google Bad Review (2):  My car was taken in for a full service and came back damaged! They passed things on my car as fully functioning when they didn't work at all and lied about other services.

When I took my car for an MOT at a different reputable garage, they highlighted that I was driving with a dangerous oil leak which was caused by Motor Magic! This was verified by an independent garage.

If you’d like your car to be damaged then give them your car and they’ll service your car so you’ll definitely need to come back and pay them more to resolve the damage they do!

To be honest I am new driver and I feel later that they overcharged me I paid 535 pounds except full service, and my car gearbox broken due to less oil in it which not checked properly I presum. Even to change 4 plugs I paid near 100 pounds and later I realised that it’s not that much expensive than I charged. This place only good for general service but not rest of things. Too expensive

Dear Sir/Madam,with due respect,It is stated that I booked an appointment for all free checks on 01 june 2017 01.30 p.m at halfords autocentre chadwel heath.
When I droped the car,the sales person LOYDS wasnt in a good mood as it was a summer day after seeing that the car is booked for free checks.My question is why have u advertised on your website the free checks offer?
He told me to leave the car with him and he will phone me late afternoon for update.I myself phoned him at 04.30 p.m but no one picked up the call.So I went there at 05.00 p.m as store closes at 06.00 p.m,firstly he didnt recognize me.Then I said to him i left the car with you he said `o we were so busy we couldnt got time to check.I said to him you have wasted all my day as i am a mini cabdriver and lost almost £100.He said to me its only free checks.It will be ready in 10 minutes.My question is what is the point of making an appointment before hand in this busy city when no one has time.and if it was a 10 minutes job then why didnt he do it there and then?so I could have saved my day for my daily earning.I waited there at 6.15 p.m and the car handed over to me after waisting my whole day.Kindly remove the free checks offer if no one is willing to entertain and welcome us.

Google Bad Review 1:  I booked a Interim Service from Who can fix my car. I showed up on the day and he tells me what will done during this service and all he mentions is Oil filter and an oil change. I was so confused as Interim service contains more than that and I even googled it just in case.

He asked me again and I asked myself that just for an oil change and oil filter he was going to charge me 70£. When I questioned he replied by saying do you know how much the engine oil cost when I know for sure that as a business you get all your part in wholesale.

Google Bad Review 1:  Our car stayed for several weeks (at least 5) in the garage, nobody updated us unless I called, and we were never told what was the problem or how long we should expect to leave the car. We were never offered to get a courtesy car, and when I asked, after at least 3 weeks, I was told that there was no courtesy car before another week… In the end when the car was finally ready, I had to call twice and get really upset so that someone would at least bring it back to us to avoid 2 hours drive to get to the center and come back. (The person that brought the car back was the only person really caring and helpful)

They informed me it would cost £60 agreed thinking the car would be properly checked.

When İ took car, a person came out İ told him about the problem and without checking he was adamant that the brake pads/disks needed replacing.

Within a minute without checking that was his diagnosis. He then spent a further few minutes with useless info.

Spent 5 minutes, didnt examine car and charged me £60. İ stupidly paid and left.

İ wouldnt have minded if at least he had examined the car.

Google Bad Review (2):  After reading very positive reviews online, I thought I would take my Audi TTS to Russell Automotive Centre (RAC) to fix a problem I had with my brakes. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but positive.

I had developed a fault with the brake servo (which I had checked by an independent mechanic) and was advised to get it fixed by an Audi specialist. I proceeded to call RAC on Saturday morning and told them I am pretty sure the brake servo needs replacing and asked what their indicative fee would be to replace this. With the usual caveats already relayed to me, I was given an indicative price of £650-700.

2 days later, I dropped my car off to RAC and in fairness, their customer service was initially very professional. We agreed that they would carry out a diagnostic test to confirm the problem and there would be a fee for that. I confirmed I was happy with this. An hour later, I received a call from the service adviser and was met with the usual “I have bad news”. After much to-ing and fro-ing, the adviser confirmed what I already suspected; that the brake servo needed replacing and unfortunately as it is “such a big job” the fee would be over £1,200 in total!!!!!!!! After I managed to pick up my jaw from the floor and queried why the price was almost double what we had discussed, I was given all sorts of excuses; eventually they agreed to lower the price to around £1,000.

In the end, I took my Audi to another Audi specialist nearby and the work was done for just over £750. The point of my review is not to unfairly criticise RAC, but my experience was the antithesis of what other reviewers had been through and I thought it important to provide a balanced review. I, for one, will avoid them in the future!

Google Bad Review 1:  First and last time customer. The only positive was how quick I was booked in, that said, the cynic in me now believes it was quick because you could make a quick pound. Paid for an MOT which failed. The guy told me what was wrong but only partly checked the car. I thought an MOT is checking the faults fully?! Apparently he I would have to book again for him to check the windscreen wiper pump as it was faulty. Not quite sure why this wouldn’t have been checked properly through the £40 MOT especially when they have claimed it’s a major fault hence why MOT failed.
Seems like they’ve got their dedicated customers and I can only assume they do not want new customers – shame as I live on this road!
If you don’t know much about your car, I’d suggest taking someone with you if you use these ‘Mechanic’s’.

Google Bad Review 1:  I have used this garage a few times for mot and service which has been fine. However, I had a problem with my car on Thursday 14 July, started it up, a big bang, then cut out. The AA towed it to the garage for me.
Heard nothing, called friday PM, still looking at it.
Called Monday, still looking at it. Son in law went to garage at approx 3PM, all locked up. It was the hottest day of the year.
Received a call Tuesday, manifold needs replacing, but timing and compression tests ok, but they can't fix it, so find a garage that can! Can I move it tomorrow, so kept it 4 days, but I am expected to pick it up the next day. I then find out that my car is not even on the premises, its parked across the road on a public highway, and has been there at least since Monday. That's just appalling, no care for other people's property.
I am not happy at all, will never use this garage again, and I know of several others that wont either.
A garage whose business to fix cars, can't and don't care.
DO NOT USE if you value your car. I paid 65 to have diagnostic tests.
I see another review from 4 years ago, saying parked across the road, and they was called a liar, obviously they were not!

Google Bad Review 1:  I absolutely do not recommend One Stop Auto to anyone!

The customer service is poor, their quality of work is atrocious and overall they are simply just a bunch of dishonest individuals. One stop Auto is clearly interested in swindling customers out of their monies all in the name of “fault” and “damage parts” .

They have somehow managed to swindle £610 out of me, yet the issue I had with my car (Smoke in the bonnet) still exists and hasn't been fixed. They kept finding new faults with the car that they believe were the reason behind the smoke, but after they claim to buy the parts and fix it, the issue still isn't resolved and they find something else to latch onto. They were constantly billing me for more faults, parts and labour etc – as a female with no prior automobile/technical knowledge I didn't know better.

The reviews they've received in the last 6 months are true representation of the type of people you'd be dealing with at this centre. If you love yourself, your car, your money and your sanity stay clear of this “repair” shop. Visit Portmill Engineering which is 2 mins up the road from here and I 100% guarantee you'll have a pleasant experience.

I wish I had read One Stop Auto centre's reviews before visiting because it would have saved me a lot of time and money.
