Google Bad Review 1:  Nice hotel BUT don't use the valet parking! I paid £60 to get my m3 parked in what I thought would be the hotels car park! When I got the car back the next day I found a few scratches on it. I know they wasn't there before as Iv just had the whole car sprayed and this was the 1st time since then the car had been out. I told the hotel manager and he said he would look into it for me! But it must of been done here as they do a check on the car for any imperfections before they drive it and nothing had been circled on the card! (Like I said the car was mint after a full respray) After a week I got a phone call to say they had checked the Cctv in the NCP car park and they don't think it was done there, so they are not going to pay for it! I was very disappointed as I hadn't been told that the car would be valet parked in an NCP car park for £60!! I wouldn't park my pride and joy in an NCP.

Google Bad Review (2):  Stayed here 27/12/2021 to 29/12/2021. Some of my items were missing from the room, housekeeping may have thrown it away. Called in twice on 30/12 and 1/1/2022. Was promised an investigation with an email reply but no reply until now. Tried to use online form but can't even submit after filling in everything. Any email we can send in to because apparently calling in doesn't work at all. No update of situation, no respond to our issue. We are not sure if investigation was indeed carried out.

Google Bad Review (2):  Security here are the absolute worst kind of people. That attitude of better than thou..
Also the events team here need to take a look at themselves and realise that the events they hold also rely on the suppliers. More and more suppliers are putting The Grosvenor on their no work list (me included).
It has come to a point where we advise our clients to book elsewhere for their events.
Its usually one security guy that causes all the problems. I wont be coming back whilst this attitude remains.

Google Bad Review (2):  My husband, I and our two children took two adjacent rooms for 6 days at the hotel. We paid a lot of money thinking it was indeed a five star hotel. I was shocked to learn that I had to pay to access Hi Fi service even in the Lobby. More negatively surprising was the fact that I had to pay 15 pounds for one hour of internet at the Hotel Business Center. That was very shameful and cheap indeed. Obviously, I will never reserve at this miserable hotel again.

Google Bad Review (2):  Traveling Parents Beware!

We were very excited for our first trip to Europe with young children. After hours of research we landed on the Marriott County Hall based on other reviews, location, and photos of the hotel.

In December 2018, we booked two rooms on Marriott points for a Thanksgiving (November) 2019 trip…basically a year in advance and on the 1st week we could actually book this hotel that far in advance. After calling reservations to confirm our rooms were adjoining, we were told the hotel needs to book the rooms on their own to confirm the room adjacency. So, we cancelled our original reservation with the 1-800 Marriott reservation line and booked again through the hotel directly.

Low and behold, when we showed up, the rooms were not adjoining. After discussing the history of our reservations with the front desk staff, we were told they actually don't have rooms in the room rate we booked that join each other. Given that we spent so much time researching and personally booking with the hotel, we told the host that we don't quite know how that's possible. We were assured all is well and he would do some research and come back with some options.

An hour later, amazingly, they did find two rooms that adjoined…hooray! Sadly however, they were in a different room rate, requiting an upgrade. As extra enticement to upgrade, we were sold on the “very large windows” which would make the upgrade worthwhile. To move in, all we had to do was agree to pay an upgrade charge.

Given that we had literally no option, we agreed to pay. Oh ya, the windows were lovely, with a view of the inner courtyard/maintenance area (ie. Not the London Eye, Big Ben, or anything you'd actually want to look at).

Summary:
– If you are traveling with little ones and want adjoining rooms, I would strongly advise you book elsewhere. Although they do have rooms that connect, they cannot guarantee until you check in, and be prepared to pay a desperation upgrade fee.

Google Bad Review (2):  In 2016, we had a plesent visit at the Ermins given it was being converted to a Marriott Autograph Collection and much still needed attention. We returned this year for eight days, Dec 22-30. Much has changed, for the worst. First the lieing was not to be believed. A broken light bulb left in the corner of the room after it exploded and I personally reported to management. The bath floor are like glass, very dangerous…The linen not changed on a regular bases and often housekeeping left items from previous day(s)…We were promised “Breakfest with Suite” than pretty much accused of lying on the last day, I said ‘ Please make tis clear, I dont NEED a free breakfest” All in all, after hundreds of Marriott experiences all over the world, My youngest Cavalier is NAMED Marriott, not withstanding, this says something…. My Partner and I are so diaspointed. Late the night before departure I was told all would be resolved before morning…I suggested that gentleman (Evening Mgr) hurry as he had me at a table in an empty dining room for a hour telling me that NONE of our complaints should ever have happened, and midnight was approaching…..He did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!!! He said ‘ Believe me you will be very pleasing surprised when you receive your folio tomorrow' Did not happen, LAST lie! I will further take this up with Marriott International, we have two M.Hotels we love, one in Paris and one in Rome and they love us as well AND THEY CAN BE TRUSTED!!!!!!!

I Must say the bell staff, concerige etc were excillent!

Google Bad Review 1:  We booked a suite for a couple of nights in London to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary.

The check-in staff were pleasant but very slow. They had no idea what was part of the package I ordered, they didn't tell me about any of the services the hotel provided and couldn't even be bothered to tell me where breakfast was going to be served the next morning.

The suite we booked came with a steam-room, projection (cinema) facilities in room and fancy electric curtains. It was a quite large room. However, the view was dismal, it looked out on to the Gym. The room itself was possibly once very nice, but has deteriorated and given the cleanliness, the hotel seems not to care. There were a number of ugly marks on the walls, floors and fittings. Maybe not the hotels fault but the greasy finger prints on the lighting, dust on the shelves and TV most certainly was the hotels fault. Many of the fittings: mini-bar, cupboards beneath the TV and a door, were broken or on their last legs.

Come 10'o clock at night, it was time to draw the curtains. However the computer tablet that controlled them was broken, which meant the curtains could not be drawn. An engineer came and was unable to repair the faulty tablet. He knew this immediately because there was ‘no master tablet'. Symptomatic of poor management I suspect. Why no ‘Master tablet'? seems pathetic.

The duty manager, after initially saying there were no more rooms, phoned me to inform me we could move to another a suite and someone would come to help in 20 minutes. 40 minutes later — nobody. One more phone call by me and a stressed member of staff flustered into the room and offered me the keys to another suite.

The second suite was much smaller, had fewer facilities, no steam room, no projection facilities and was clearly a good deal cheaper than the room I had booked. No apology, no acknowledgement from the management, no indication of how this would be reflected in the bill. Again, symptomatic of poor or inadequate management.

The check-out was painfully slow (10:30am) and seemingly no knowledge of room down grade. I was told a manager would call me, but as yet — nothing.

In all, if it wasn't for the location, it would be very hard to recommend this hotel, especially since my wife was more than little heart broken by their lackadaisical attitude to guests and the service they provide to guests. It felt we were very much taken for granted.

For context: I've stayed in hotels from Cairo to Tokyo, Boston to San Francisco, Paris to Port Louis. I travel for a living. Occasionally expensive hotels, often modest hotels. From Premiere Inns to the New Otani's. Never have I felt so let down or disappointed by the price to service ratio the W London offered.

Google Bad Review (2):  Disgusting service. We prepaid a film screening with two lots of food and drinks (not cheap!). We got one set of food and drinks and a whole lot of fuss. Unopened bottles of wine, beer and soft drinks were cleared away before our guests had left and waiting staff were virtually non existent. To top it all off they then handed us a bill which had been prepaid in front of our clients and disputed until receipts were shown. Save yourself the hassle and embarrassment these guys don't need your business.

Google Bad Review 1:  I haven't seen a better hotel in a while but this review is directed for the “Spa”

If a spa for you means a 25£ cold pool with kids a dirty jacuzzi and showers go for it.

The so called steam room is so bad that you have to stand in one spot to get the heath.

Sauna is actually artificial lights and some wooden benches.

Please don't go here and save your money, even if its free.

Google Bad Review (2):  Staff are not over friendly.some made you feel like you shouldn't be there. Like you were intruding rooms clean but dated. Can't get a drink after 11 o'clock. Who ever heard of an hotel where you can't get a drink after 11 o'clock. Usually all night Porter, Surely. £110 for a night. Never again. Daylight robbery. Only gave it one star because there wasn't an half star.
