all,
Having made a substantial order for 5 people, delivered on Tuesday,
10/5/2022, from this newly opened Indian takeaway in Avenue
Road, Bexleyheath, I feel compelled to leave a record of the
experience.
It was their opening night which carried a half price promotional
discount, lowering the bill to just under £50.
I was looking forward to trying this new outfit as normally, when a
takeaway/restaurant opens, the quality is of a high standard as a good
impression is sought.
Now, after having had countless Indian meals over many years and being
the owner of a discerning palate, I feel that readers will find the
following information useful:
To say we were all disappointed would be an understatement. In fact I
was downright angry that such awful, bland and oily offerings arrived.
I won't go into detail of the individual dishes as they all suffered the
same problem which, in addition to the above, was a complete lack of
seasoning and very tired/tasteless ingredients, swimming in pools of
residual, dark oil. Most of this ‘food' went in the bin.
What a shame… I shall never use them again!
Amusingly, on the promotional flyer there is the line, “one of the best
chef in London” (not “chefs”… does anyone check these before
printing?). If that were the case, what on earth is the worst “chef”
like?
Come on Spice King, you should be so much better but I fear that this
will be water off a duck's back.
It saddens me to be so negative but I do not wish others to suffer the
same sub standard ‘food'.
I feel that Inevitably, they probably will.
