Google Bad Review 1:  Invested a large percentage of my pensioner mother's portfolio into a recycling fund which collapsed (New Earth Solutions Recycling Facilities).

She had asked for a low-risk portfolio, so putting a large chunk of the total into a single risky venture was totally inappropriate, as anyone with even a basic knowledge of investing would understand.

Thankfully, in 2018, the Financial Ombudsman agreed that True Bearing had advised badly, and after an appeal process lasting months, we were able to get the money returned.

However, True Bearing rejected her initial complaint and fought every step of the Ombudsman process, making the process was more stressful than it should have been.

Also, I wonder how many other pensioners were badly advised in the same way, and either didn't know or weren't able to go to the Ombudsman.

For these reasons, I would avoid this company.

UPDATE (next day): True Bearing emailed me a few hours after after I posted this review. They were much slower to reply to a complaint!

The points here are accurate, though I've corrected a couple of minor details (e.g. our complaint was upheld by the Ombudsman, not the FCA).

The staff who wrongly rejected the complaint in 2018 are still in place, and I have no confidence anything has changed. It is sad that other clients probably lost their money permanently.

I would still avoid this company.

Google Bad Review (2):  They were supposed to have sent me details in the post after being recommended to use True Bearings in dealing with my future pension claims. Twice we have spoken over the phone about this and now over two weeks since the first initial contact. I was told it would arrive by today and nothing received. I have no evidence they have sent or dealing with me on my pension only by a couple of phone calls but very disappointed in this firm after initially reading about the good reviews. If they have no interest in me with dealing with my pensions and I was thinking they they could deal with others areas of my property and finances. I am not use to this being treated in this way so reason for poor feedback. After being told a few days ago the forms etc would be sent to me nothing has arrived. Now it is over two weeks since the initial contact after a recommendation and the the positive feedbacks so far I feel very negative about this firm.
