I managed to book appt and technician is quick to identify the issue but he couldn't replace the part as it's not available. He completed first visit in less than 15 mins. Second visit with part is completed with in 40 mins. I have been charged 2 and half hour job overall and paid close to £400 for a small repair.

Update: I just got an explanation for the 30 mins charge is for the job to pick item all the way from Aylesbury to Fairford leys (£50 +vat) to cover Diesel etc. Nobody explained me that it will cost £50+vat to pick up something from Aylesbury, otherwise, I would be happy to get and collect myself.

I called to office to explain that the overall job may be completed with in an hour if the part is readily available. I have been charged 2.5 hours of work which doesn't make sense at all. Looking at the website, it says travel time is charged but it could be an apprentice cost rather than technician cost, I don't need a technician to drive a van.

I will run through another heating engineer and if it's the charge is appropriate, happy to correct the rating.

This is my experience. I called and asked if they had the facilities to chest x-rays my Great Dane. I was assured they did. I made an appointment, which was for the following week. I had specifically explained he could be managed so anesthetics would not be necessary, I did not want to unduly risk his life. They said they understood.
I arrived as requested in the morning and was told he would be x-rayed that morning.
Heard nothing so called at 14.30. I was then told they do NOT have a table big enough for a Dane! So their only option was to sedate him, after the stress he had now been through I had to agree even with the risk.
They had given me a document but chosen NOT to fill in the section they should that indicates the potential cost.
When I arrived to collect him they had created a bill for almost £800!!! Obviously using the opportunity to anesthtise him to get more money, regardless of the risk to his life.
They assured me they would send the x-ray to my vet as they had provided me with no information as to the results of it. They did NOT send them to my vets, so he remains in danger. When I called to ask the receptionist she was so rude and very flippant.
If you want a complete lack of clarity at a huge price, this is the vet practice for you.
It would have be so much more simple to provide a decent service.
