Google Bad Review 1:  PLEASE for the safety of your pets avoid taking your pets here! This Vet (Mr Andrew Carmichael) operated on my dog without my consent and a result almost blinded him! Mr Carmichael could not take responsibility for his actions and hung up on me on the phone when I tried to complain about what he had done to my dog. Don’t be fooled – he is unsympathetic and nasty when something goes wrong. I am now seriously considering taking legal action against him. He may not charge as much as other Vets but your pet will definitely not be in safe hands with him. (Cheaper in this case is definitely not good!!!) If you love your pet do not take it here. It’s a horrible clinic anyway – old & very run down !!!

Google Bad Review (2):  Please please please don't trust all the positive reviews here, and read carefully the few negative story. I should have done the same now it is too late.
Addison veterinary clinic is full of good people including the fantastic and super friendly receptionist, but it is not a place where your pets will be safe and it is not a place where to bring your pet for a surgery.
Despite the lovely and gentle look, Dr. Andrew Charmicael is DANGEROUS.
I brought my 1yo beautiful and in perfect shape female cat to neuter – a so called “routine surgery” – and I genuinely thought she was in good hands.
Starting from the day after the surgery I noticed that something was off, with my cat not eating and barely walking, but I still thought were the effects of the surgery. Unfortunately the surgery took place on a Friday and the vet was closed over the week-end and overall I thought it was nothing to worry about.
On Monday my cat was still not walking and barely eating.
On Tuesday it was obvious that there was a huge infection and the wound was leaking pus. Tons of pus.
We rushed her to the clinic, they took her in day-hospital without even immediately treating her, and we recollected her in the afternoon.
It seemed she had been butchered. Blood all over her fur, a plastic caterer coming out of her wound to drain the wound that was still very badly stitched. But at least the doctor gave me comfort that she was on a recovery path and the infection would have healed soon.
He also finally put her a cone on her neck, and gave her some antibiotics which he originally refused to give her.
I came back home with this zombie-looking poor cat covered in blood and with plastic tube coming out from her body, but at least she had recommenced eating and walking. Until Saturday night.
Saturday night we came back from dinner and the wound had re-opened again completely with actual flesh coming out from it.
We rushed her to an emergency night hospital (Village Vet in Hampstead) where we finally found some professionals that were able to treat her.
Unfortunately she had to go under very invasive overnight / over weekend surgery, she had to be re-opened and the surgeon found out dead sub-abdmoninal tissue resulting from the neutering surgery.
If I kept bringing my cat to Dr. Charmicael she would have been dead by now. Instead thanks to the caring hands of Village Vet veterinaries she is now safe at home and hopefully on a recovery path, but she has been damaged internally for the rest of her life.
Thanks to Dr. Charmicael (and thanks to me being stupid and not insured) I also lost GBP 3,000 in the process.
I would not sue Dr. Charmicael because it is useless, and I want to believe that he didnt try to hurt my cat on purpose.
I am writing this post just to make other people aware that is methods are old school, that is view on use of drugs is in line with that of no-vax people, and that his clinic is very dirty and outdated. He has probably been a very good vet back in the days, but now I am not sure he can be trusted with any kind of pet.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
