Google Bad Review (2): Rip off. Poor service.
We bought our house in June 2018. The previous owners paid Switched On £6590 to completely re wire and fit all new LED lighting in the whole house. They also received a 10 year guarantee for their work and a manufacturers guarantee for the fittings. This work was done in May 2017 so not long enough ago to refuse to come back and fix the bathroom lights that no longer work! The guarantee is also good for the work completed. They just fob us off and tell us to contact the manufacturer. Switched On installed them, they re wired it. They should have noticed an issue and should rectify it.
Switched On should come back and fix them for free and honour your guarantee instead of fobbing us off. The guarantee is for the house and is valid until May 2027!
Don't believe their response!
Their plumbing is also a complete rip off. On July we had issues with our hot water tank and called Switched On. They charged us £254 for a call out to do absolutely nothing to fix the issue except tell us tell they needed to completely drain down our hot water tank to fix a valve. They said it would take half a day and require 2 men! And that it would cost a further £1500!!!
I got 3 other quotes from independent plumbers and all 3 quoted less than £200 to change the valve and laughed at Switched On's con about needing to drain it down completely just to replace a valve! They all said it was unnecessary and a blatant example of treating a female client as foolish and gullible.
I got the issue sorted a few days later by a lovely trustworthy local plumber for £180 and there have been absolutely no problems since and it's now 6 months later!
Don't bother responding with more lies Switched On. Hopefully people will avoid using you after reading the truth above!
