Google Bad Review: IF YOU ARE THE POTENTIAL NEW TENANT OF 48 DRAYTON GARDENS BEWARE.
Yesterday (Friday 22nd of April) I received a call regarding 48 Drayton Gardens (top floor room). I discussed the property with an agent and arranged a viewing later that day, informing I would be driving half an hour after work for the viewing. The agent called half an hour before viewing to check I was coming and on time – which was fine with me as I take others' time seriously.
After 30 mins of viewing the property, the agent told me that someone has already placed a holding deposit and is awaiting their reference checks.
I couldn't quite believe what I was hearing. Thinking of the new tenant who has paid a deposit to hold the property, they would be rightly appalled to know that you're continuing to advertise and conduct viewings. What does a holding deposit mean if you don't hold the property for them? This immediately removed any credibility or faith one could have had in Sutherland Estates.
Worse than this was the complete waste of my time attending this viewing. They were aware of my 1 hour round trip, and the time needed to view the property, yet even when calling ahead to check I was still coming they didn't have the decency to tell me the room has already been taken. Don't lose 1.5 hours of your day like I did.
My advice to anyone considering a viewing or paying a deposit – it's not worth the risk, look elsewhere!
