Google Bad Review 1: I had arranged to donate our old sofa, armchair and footstool to the Finchley store. I had sent clear photos (by email) of both furniture and fire labels and had arranged with the manager Audrey a week in advance for them to be collected. I had to take an afternoon off work to wait for the collection guys to turn up. When they arrived they were not only rude but obstructive and refused to take the furniture due to the fact that we have had a cat and there were minor scratch marks on the sofa. Now I can completely understand if this was the case a week before I had sent photographs that I had emailed specifically to a manager and I would have been more than happy to have answered any questions regarding the fact they could not take any furniture due to allergies from some animals. But no questions were asked and I have wasted a whole week and a whole afternoon off work and my point really is I could have made other arrangements. I have had to reschedule the delivery of our new furniture as there is no space to put it. I will have to pay an extra delivery charge on top of what I have already payed. When I spoke to Audrey she was nothing but rude and dismissive and said her colleagues (the collection guys when they were at my home arguing with me and being a pain) had sent her pictures of a damaged sofa. The same damaged sofa I had already sent her pictures of a week ago and that she had agreed to collect from me. The foreign speaking collection driver was so rude when he came to my home that I asked him to leave. Absolutely disgusting behaviour! My advice to anyone thinking of donating to a charity in the future, DON'T!! I will be making a serious complaint to the area manager as no one should be treated like this. Even from a charity!

Google Bad Review (2): I arranged pick up to donate a dining table and 6 chairs which I had bought from them for over £200.

The staff arrived and said they don’t want them as they are not sellable. When I told them I have purchase the furnitures from their shop in the same condition, the driver said we are more picky now and don’t want them!!!

The chairs were in a very good condition and the table was a proper wooden table without any damage but the table top colour wasn’t like a new one obviously . I had uploaded photos while booking pick up so they knew what they are dealing with and accepted to take them. The driver ( his name was Dave) was very rude and looked like he didn’t want to do the job and looking for an excuse.

The whole experience was a waste of time and frustrating. Please avoid them and choose other charities.

In sharing his story, he opened up about the struggle of passing the age his mother was when she died, and how therapy has helped him come to terms with his childhood grief. He told us, “I’ve only really dealt with the grief in the last twelve months I would say. It’s funny how, when you bottle things up, it reaches a stage when you can no longer ignore it. “If you’d asked me a year ago, I wouldn’t …have been up for sharing my story, because I didn’t understand grief, and how it has affected me.” Sharing real life experiences of grief is so important to us. We want to make sure that by telling these stories, we can show others in similar situations that they aren’t alone in how they’re feeling.
