FB Last Post Text: Clive's mum received care from Sue Ryder before she died when he was just 15. In sharing his story, he opened up about the struggle of passing the age his mother was when she died, and how therapy has helped him come to terms with his childhood grief. He told us, “I’ve only really dealt with the grief in the last twelve months I would say. It’s funny how, when you bottle things up, it reaches a stage when you can no longer ignore it. “If you’d asked me a year ago, I wouldn’t …have been up for sharing my story, because I didn’t understand grief, and how it has affected me.” Sharing real life experiences of grief is so important to us. We want to make sure that by telling these stories, we can show others in similar situations that they aren’t alone in how they’re feeling.
