Google Bad Review 1:  Perhaps the worst estate agents I've ever had to deal with during 21 years of living/renting in London.

Even before we moved into the flat they were managing, they routinely ‘misinformed' us about contact they had made with the landlord – however as we'd already met the landlord and he'd given us his number, it turned out upon speaking to him that no contact had been made at all.

During our 12 months at the property stay they proved to be equally as unreliable, despite having promised a first-class service to the landlord before he handed over a non-doubt not-insignificant lump of cash.

Hence the landlord and I decided that we'd manage any fixes, replacements and other issues directly between ourselves.

They were equally as ‘misleading' (if I were being cynical I'd say lying) when it came to leaving the property and managing the checkout inspection, landlord signoff and deposit return – yet more instances of several Storeys ‘managers' telling us they'd be in contact with the landlord to move things forward, only for a quick Whatsapp chat with the landlord to reveal that'd they'd done nothing of the sort.

I'm quite astounded by the number of positive reviews they've received on Google. Surely some mistake?

Google Bad Review (2):  Edit on 21 June. Still having water flow issues. Still having problems with ongoing leak 6 MONTHS LATER. Still being ignored by Mr Blythe who owns Storeys, despite happily accepting payment of my rent which no doubt includes a management fee to “manage” our property. I have tried filing an official complaint but that too was ignored and has now been referred to The Property Ombudsman Service. In the meantime, I have been advised to file a complaint with local council trading standards and environmental health. This is not action I want to take but I am not being left with any alternative. I don't believe the continued delays and lack of action have anything to do with our landlord.

Mr Blythe, I am aware that you read your reviews, I am willing to delete this if you just have the decency to communicate with me and resolve our outstanding problems. Don't you think 6 months is long enough to wait?

I previously left a 5 star review of this company because I thought the owner of the business cared about putting things right but I spoke far too soon. He has now become unprofessional and unresponsive. The last email I had from Mr Blythe was almost a week ago, complaining I'd left him a negative review which I hadn't. He must have confused me with another unhappy tenant. But I am doing so now in sheer frustration, because I am being ignored yet again We reported problems with water flow just before Christmas 2021. It is now June 2022 and we still have problems with water flow. During initial inspection a leak was found and we still have a leak to this day. Almost 6 months on. We've had alternating contractors attend because Storeys failed to pay the original contractor, no doubt incurring our landlord additional costs and causing unnecessary delays to repairs. The last visit was 3 weeks ago today and we are still waiting for an update on how this ongoing leak is going to be addressed. I have to chase these agents continually and when they do actually respond, they are selective in the issues they reply to. I note another tenant referred to this company as STORIES, which I think is quite appropriate given the story Mr Blythe told me. I will delete this review when I finally receive an appropriate level of service from a company who is being paid to manage the property I call my home.
