Google Bad Review 1: Beware. My daughter took out learner insurance with Sterling and paid the annual premium of £351.23 in full. She passed after three months and declined their quote for ongoing insurance as it was double the price she had been quoted elsewhere. Sterling refunded her £20.86 from annual policy and when questioned by phone, email and letter they insisted this was correct. After persisting for 5 weeks they agreed to refund a further £68.92. They have cited that there is a £40 penalty fee for cancelling (it's a learner policy so surely there is an expectation it has to be cancelled when you pass) and they have taken commission. No doubt this will be very well hidden in their small print, it's proving difficult to find it in the reams of legal jargon. Either way they've managed to profit from very nicely from falsely offering a competitive premium and a 17 year old's diligent driving.
