Google Bad Review 1: I stayed on the 2nd April 2022 in room 300. On entering the hotel the reception area holds promise which I regret was quickly dispelled by the general state of the inner Hotel. Carpets in the public areas are generally stained and in poor order. The room was relatively small but we were aware that this is a budget hotel. Our room was clean but very dated and windows appear not to have been cleaned for years. The shower curtain barely covered the entry allowing water to get everywhere. Also all night about every 3 minutes and I can be quite sure of this as I spent all night listening to it either the water pump or a maserator was priming for about 3 or 4 seconds long enough to keep me awake. Breakfast at £10.50p was overpriced and not fresh. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone extremely disappointing.

Google Bad Review (2): I almost never write a review but felt the need to after our horrible experience.
When we checked in, our room had no hot water, the AC was broken, there were BUGS in the bathroom and the bed had clearly been made extremely quickly. After an international flight, this was really disappointing and we decided to check in to a different hotel two hours after being there. We spoke to the general manager named Greg and he apologized and said their cancellation policy was to charge for the first night but that he’d try to get that waved for us. A week later we’re charged for the ENTIRE stay of $800. I go through booking.com to get a refund for the other nights and St. Giles refused to offer us a refund for the other nights despite what their general manager AND their cancellation policy states. It feels like we were robbed, on top of having a horrible first hotel experience. Disgusting. Do not stay here.
