Google Bad Review: Nothing but utter frustration with this company! Customer service people seem fine and very helpful BUT the metering team are shambolic.
My first problem started in April 2021. My Economy 7 meter needed replacing because it died. Stopped working completely. It took the metering team 13 months to replace. Countless phone calls and emails. Nine times out if ten I couldn't get through to the metering team so I had to leave a message. Calls were never returned.. I had to involve the Energy Ombudson after 3 months who eventually brought it to a conclusion.
The second problem happened in May 2022 (when my meter was finally replaced). They set it up as a smart meter (with one set of reading numbers). Firstly, they knew I didn't have a smart meter, we have an Economy 7 meter with two sets of readings (night and day). It took a few weeks if phone calls for then to correct it but then, they put the readings in the wrong way round. I have sent numerous emails, had various phone calls and on-line “chats”. Sent photos of my meter and readings do they can correct it. It's now Thursday 4 August 2022, and I'm still in Limbo!!!
The saga continues!
I daresay my next problem is going to be billing (to get my account rectified), although I am HOPING, that the billing team are less troublesome to deal with.
If SO Energy need more staff, then recruit!!!
