Google Bad Review 1: I would avoid this practise. Especially if you are seeking treatment for a reptile. After lots of costly tests and treatments I have had to go to another vet as Charlotte did not look at the results of the tests that were carried out by her practise. This meant my pet was being treated incorrectly for 2 months, and as he hadn't been diagnosed properly Charlotte could not treat him correctly and told me on 3 occasions to euthanise him. I asked if I could have his test results as I wanted to go to another vets as something didn't seem right to me. I saw that my pet had 3 things present in his tests which hadn't even been looked at by Charlotte. If I hadn't gone with my instinct and listened to her advice my pet would have lost his life. He is currently under another veterinary surgeon and is doing well considering he has been suffering unnecessarily due to Charlotte's over sight. I have put these concerns to Charlotte, she said I haven't been charged, I have, best part of £600 in total. She said that quality of life is her priority not longevity, she hasn't ever asked me about how he is at home. How he eats, basks, acts etc I only raised concerns about his mobility! I have questioned this she hadn't responded. She said “sorry” she didn't look at the test results she was “on leave” the tests were carried out on the 5th of November. I bought it to her attention on the 29th of December. The vet I am using now said there is no way she would put my pet down and was shocked it had been recommended. When I raised this with Charlotte she said it was coming from me. Unfortunately for her I have the voicemail she left recommending euthanasia well before his test results had been looked at. The thought I could have listened to her and then at a later date, after he was gone, seen the missed test results makes my blood run cold.
I am currently making an official complaint but I just wanted to put this on here to make sure that you get a second opinion if Charlotte ever recommends euthanasia for your pet. There are veterinary sugeons a lot more competent than Charlotte at Skylarks and I would urge you to seek them out before taking your pet here.
