Google Bad Review 1: Disappointing first time experience at this salon, I had a haircut and finish. As the curly style dropped out I noticed my hair had been cut really unevenly, shorter on one side with longer pieces throughout.

The salon offered for me to come back but I had already been elsewhere for it to be evened out. The stylist there was shocked at how bad the cut was. Some sections were cut so short my only option other than taking another inch of length off is to grow them out. Not what I expected from a salon with a good local reputation.

Google Bad Review (2): I booked a hair cut for my 4 year old daughter at this salon.

The experience was very bad for the following reasons:

1) It transpired at the end of the appointment that we were given a trainee and my daughter was a model for training purposes. Though this explained the slow speed and poor outcome, it was not communicated to us prior to the appointment and we wouldn't have come had we known it was a training exercise.

2) The cut took an hour which was excessive bearing in mind that there was no wash or blow dry included – very difficult for a 4 year old to sit still for that length of time and totally unnecessary.

3) The amount cut off was significantly more than requested – we went from nice long hair to shoulder length despite asking for approx. an inch off. The evidence was on the floor afterwards which I showed to the staff and was not disputed.

4) the individual cutting was clearly very inexperienced and hence slow. I do not think it is appropriate to use children or any clients for training purposes without their / their parent's consent.

5) The trainee had no supervision during the cut and did not even make a parting in the hair at the outset. Similarly he did not wet the hair down at the outset and brush through, instead combed as he went along which was uncomfortable for the child and left her upset throughout.

Although I wasn't charged, I found this to be a very bad experience (as did my daughter) and find it totally unacceptable to use children for training without consent.

I will not be returning for any services in the future and would recommend this salon is avoided, particularly by children.
