Google Bad Review: Beware of the quality of their fitting service.
One of our curtain poles became detached from the wall so I made contact to see if there was anything that could be done. At this point I have to point out that the original fitting was done seven years ago. However, I was able to provide them with significant evidence of an extremely poor quality of fitting that had initially been done, and that it was merely luck that it had not come done sooner.
The plasterboard is not faulty and all fixings have come out of the holes. Of the four fixings used to attach the pole to the wall, three were defective:
1. A plastic plug with a notional max loading of 5kg had been used.
2. A metal self-drill plasterboard fixing had been inserted an inch past the surface of the wall making it completely compromised.
3. A toggle fixing had been used despite the fact that there was not enough space in the cavity for it to toggle open therefore rendering it useless! This is the most substandard of the three.
Having spent £3.6K with them I expected, at the very least, a request to come and view for themselves the issue. But no, simply a demand for £120 to come out. They have now stopped corresponding with me seemingly happy that it's not their problem and hiding behind the time it has taken for this issue to manifest itself.
A real shame as up to this point we had been happy and had recommended their services to others.
