Google Bad Review 1: Having had advice from Plutus Wealth Management for a number of years I have, recently, formed the opinion that they are incapable of both reading the markets and reacting to changing circumstances. As a result of these failings my pension investment with Plutus Wealth Management has reduced in value by almost 20% in six months. To reach such a result is, arguably, difficult to achieve. Consequently, I am not able to recommend their services.

Google Bad Review (2): My wife and I bought two off-plan investment properties in 2007 under the guidance of our then financial planners Robert Forbes and Andrew Richards, who are the founders of Plutus Wealth Management LLP. They were, at that time, associated with a financial management company called Perfect Day Ltd in the UK, which is no longer trading.

When they set up Plutus Wealth Management we migrated over with them, but eventually declined to do any further business with them based on our ever increasing financial burdens, which we strongly felt were caused by their lack of care in advising us as new clients. We were, unfortunately, rather green behind the ears in terms of investing, and we feel they took advantage of that.

The first property they recommended to us was part of a ‘5 star development' based in Protaras in Cyprus, and was billed to us as a solid medium to long-term investment, with private pool, tennis courts and luxury spa, all due for completion in 2009. It is now March 2015 as I write this review and the main pool area still hasn't been built (only a smaller pool area has been finished), and there are still no tennis courts or spa in sight. Some of the apartment blocks at the resort have been completed but others haven't, and there is still a lot of building work going on.

During the same time, we also introduced to a company called Pro Property Investor and a rogue property advisor called Nick Hodgson, who has since disappeared into thin air.

Andrew Richards and Robert Forbes, and their business partner Mr. Hodgson, were excited to inform us that the Val Senart property in Paris would be a very ‘low risk' leaseback investment, with guaranteed income due to the fact it was ‘student only' accommodation.

However, as of late 2012, the French management company responsible for running Val Senart said it could no longer pay us, or any of the other owners, our full rents. It then came to light that this was, in fact, a mixed ‘student and tourism' accommodation, and that the tourist part of the development was making severe losses.

It more recently came to our attention that the so-called ‘student apartment' we purchased is actually located in the business/tourism section of the building, and not the student part!

When we contacted the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) for legal advice, they said that Perfect Day Ltd was registered with the FSA (now known as the FCA) when we signed up with Richard Forbes and Andrew Richards at Perfect Day Ltd, but not when we signed the actual contracts to purchase the Cypriot or French properties. This meant we were not entitled to take action against them through the FCA's standard code of conduct.

We have been in touch with other owners who are also suffering due to the negligence of these individuals, and our conclusion is that Plutus Wealth Management does not do its due diligence for its clients, nor does it have its clients' best interests at heart. We would not recommend these individuals or their services to anyone.
