Google Bad Review: We didn't get to experience the hotel that we had booked, as three weeks before travelling, they telephoned to say that they were cancelling all bookings due to COVID-19. A shame, but good of them to let me know. HOWEVER, they also informed me that PetsPyjamas had not paid them, so they were unable to give me a refund, and I should contact PetsPyjamas for this. I telephoned PP straight away, and was advised by the concierge that I needed to email in to the support email address, which again I did straight away. EVEN THE PP WEBSITE STATES, “If you would like request a refund, please email our Customer Support team directly at support@petspyjamas.com”. After a two week wait, I chased PP, to become embroiled in a string of emails in which Denitza Manova (Customer Delight Team Member – what a joke), Joshua Alliance, Angus Bankes, Denise Elphick, and Karen Hanton (all registered directors of the company) are all refusing to issue a refund as legally obliged to do under The Package Travel Regulations. They are claiming that they are following ABTA guidelines, even though the ABTA website clearly states that cash refunds should be issued within 14 days as set out in their code of conduct.
So anyone who wants to experience a lovely hotel and helpful staff – book direct – in fact, whatever hotel you choose, book direct – there is NO ADVANTAGE in booking through PP as you can phone the hotels and they will match or better any of the rates that PP quote – and give you a refund if they need to cancel!
